The Winamax SISMIX poker festival is back at the Casino de Marrakech in the Es Saadi Resort. Day 1a of the €500 Main Event, the first of four starting flights, kicks off today at 12:00 local time.
Players will be treated to an exciting mix of poker and off-the-felt action as the event returns to Marrakech for the first time since 2018.
Main Event Day 1a entrants will start with a stack of 50,000 chips and blinds will begin at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. Blind levels run for 30 minutes with a break every four levels.
Day 1a will continue for 22 levels and players will have the opportunity to re-enter each starting flight once, with today’s late registration available for the first 13 levels.
As is the trademark for all SISMIX events, the tournament will run six-handed, making for a format that is sure to encourage action.

Winamax pro Adrian Mateos won the SISMIX Main Event in 2018 for $106,128. The following year the festival was held in Spain, where German player Tim Hartmann took down the Main Event for $112,875.
But as any veteran of the festival knows, SISMIX is as much about the parties as it is about the poker.
Today’s schedule includes a pool party with relaxed vibes from 2 p.m. and the Winamax Beer Pong Open starting at 8 p.m. Later on, from 11:30 p.m., DJ James and Bonny will be bringing the house party vibes over at Theatro. Those who bust the Main Event won’t be too disappointed. They might well get lucky elsewhere.
PokerNews will be covering the Main Event from start to finish, so stay tuned to see how the action unfolds.
Dealers have been instructed to shuffle up and deal. It's official. Day 1a of the Winamax SISMIX Main Event is now underway.
