Berrak Picks Off Sfez's Three Barrel Bluff to Gain Huge Stack
Mohamed El Berrak raised and Lucas Sfez reraised to 9,500. Berrak called and two players went to the flop.
The flop came Q♥4♥Q♦. Berrak checked and Sfez bet out for 10,000, which Berrak called.
The turn was the K♥. Berrak checked for a second time and Sfez bet out 20,500, which Berrak called. By this point, the pot was seriously inflated and the winner was already set to increase their stack by a significant amount.
The river came the 3♣. Berrak checked again and Sfez moved all in. Berrak quickly made the call for the rest of his stack, 94,400 chips.
Berrak flipped over J♥9♥ for a turned flush. Sfez showed A♣7♠. He'd been running a bluff over the course of three streets.
Unfortunately for him, the bluff was mistimed and Berrak clearly wasn't folding. He now moves up to around 250,000 chips, making him one of the chip leaders as Day 1c progresses.
