The Main Event is playing down toward the end of Level 2 and the first break of the day. Currently there have been 62 entries, and all players are still playing their original stack. Among the late entries so far are online qualifier Henrik Tellving, Unibet Ambassador Alexandre Reard, and Dex de Jong.
Players in the Main Event have just finished Level 2, and are headed out for the poker room for their first break of the day. They'll return in 20 minutes to Level 3 with blinds at 100/300/300.
Michael McInerney was first in from the middle with a raise to 700, and he was called by Zoltan Boszormenyi to his left and Truong Huang in the hijack, as well as Alexandru Cinca in the big blind.
The flop came and they all checked to see the on the turn. It checked to Huang and he bet 2,200. Only Cinca called from the big. Cinca again checked the river, and then folded to the 3,600 bet from Huang.
Action opened with Toni Englund betting 800 from early position. He was called by Tom Veenhuysen in the middle, and big blind Andy Black elected to defend as well.
The flop came and all three players checked. Black led out for 2,000 on the turn, and that was enough to secure the pot for him.
In the first of two hands from Table 3, there were three players in preflop, including Mateusz Moolhuisen in the cutoff. When the flop came they all checked, but when it checked to Moolhuizen on the turn, he bet 1,200 and got both opponents to fold.
In the next hand on the same table, Sulaiman Sesy opened to 700 under the gun, and was called by Miroslaw Borowicz in middle position, as well as Shane McElhinney in the big blind. The flop came and it checked to Borowicz who bet 1,400, enough to clear off the other players.
Unibet ambassador Espen Jorstad jumped into the Main Event during Level 3, as did John Hanaphy, who was runner-up in the Dublin Poker Fest High Roller, after he Chopped with John Dwyer
Mark Buckley got things started with a bet to 1,200 from the cutoff in a hand where the big blind was not at the table. Small blind Stephen Kane came over top with a raise to 3,500.
Buckley took a few seconds to make a decision, and then four-bet to 10,000. That sent Kane into the tank for a few seconds, but he ultimately decided to get rid of his hand.
