UKIPT Isle of Man Final Table

Josef Snejberg
Josef Snejberg

Welcome to the final table of eight at the 2014 UKIPT Isle of Man, the second time this event has been hosted at the home of PokerStars. A total of 402 entrants, made up of 344 unique and 58 re-entries, have battled it out over three tough days of poker and are set for one final push to determine the winner.

Josef Snejberg from the Czech Republic begins the day as the chip leader in what is only his second ever UKIPT, being primarily an online MTT specialist. Snejberg has his work cut out for him though as he has Ludovic Geilich sat to his immediate left, describing him as “Crazy aggressive.”

Geilic does indeed have a reputation as an aggressive player but is more than capable of changing gears when the situation demands it, and the experienced Fintan Gavin is just as capable of playing fearless poker. Gavin has already stated his intention to up the aggression levels as he goes for the win, so expect fireworks if these two get involved early on.

Thomas Ward may be the short stack at the table but he still has a very playable 25 big blinds and as he put it. ”I'll be looking to find a good spot with a good hand.” Ward certainly has pedigree when it comes to these events as this is a record setting 12th cash on the UKIPT tour for the 28 year old professional poker player from the United Kingdom.

It should be an exciting day of poker here at the beautiful and historic Villa Marina in Douglas with the talented line up all guaranteed at least £8,000, but ultimately chasing that top prize of £65,900 and the title of UKIPT Isle of Man 2014 Champion.

Coverage starts at 1 p.m. on a one hour delay as the live stream will be bringing you the action with hole cards revealed for the first time this week. PokerNews will be bringing you exclusive hand for hand coverage right here so you won’t miss a single thing as the tournament reaches its climax.
