Players on their Best Behaviour
There was a bit of an online storm following UK Pro Neil Channing’s blog post about the attitude some professional players were exhibiting at the table towards the recreational players at the WSOP in Vegas this year.
PokerNews is happy to report that we have seen no such outrageous behaviour at the Full Tilt Festival in Galway.
There is an atmosphere of quiet concentration, no trash talk or berating of any plays. Sure, people are talking about what hands people might have had, but little beyond the usual probing for information that can be expected at any poker table.
It will come as no surprise that the chattiest table seems to be the feature table where Barny Boatman is holding court, but all around the room a wide mix of players are enjoying the game, respecting the dealers and each other.
Long may it continue.
