Trevor Dinneen hasn't been in his seat in quite some time and slowly but surely his stack is being whittled away. He has good reason for being gone though as he is currently squaring off against Steve O'Dwyer in the Irish Poker Championship.
That event, which saw 52 players pay the €2,300 + €200 buy-in to create a prize pool of €119,600, is down to just two. O'Dwyer entered with a 2-1 chip lead, which means Dinneen will face an uphill battle if he hopes to capture the €39,450 first-place prize. The runner up will take home €27,840.
Having just contemplated shoving with the previous hand, Ian Cordts found a hand he liked a bit better and the “All-in” triangle was pushed his way as he pushed his last 10,000 over the line.
Jake Cody was in the small blind, still getting a massage, and he too went all-in. The big blind folded.
“Please be flipping,” cried Cordts showing his .
No flip. Cody showed . Cordts was a 4-to-1 dog.
The board ran out and Cody scooped the pot while Cordts, who was the only player to re-enter this tournament, exited for a second time.
Meanwhile, Mick Graydon was also eliminated from the tournament.
Dermot Blain has been all in for his tournament life several times today but he's just won a big pot to him ticking along. Blain opened to 1,600 from the cutoff before Anaras Alekberovas made it 4,000 from the small blind. William Ranulf Dorey then cold four-bet in the big blind to 7,600 and Blain shoved for around 25,000 in total.
The Lithuanian quickly folded and Dorey made the call.

The board ran out and Blain leaped above the 50,000 mark.
We're into the final third of today's action. Just 17 players remain with a redraw when we hit 16. We're playing nine levels today so the tournament is scheduled to finish around 1.15am with a restart again at 2pm tomorrow.
Nursing a stack of about twenty big blinds Jake Cody had raised from button on the previous hand for half his stacks. The statement was clear and he picked up the precious blinds and antes.
The next hand he raised smaller to just 1,700. The button called but Kyle Maguire raised to 4,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded and Cody, getting a massage at the table, nonchalantly dropped the rest of his chips over the line. He was all in.
The button folded and Maguire too had to fold to the aggression.
“You just love to play that game don’t you?” Maguire said.
