Dara O`Kearney was on the button having called an under the gun open from Timothy Davie, a young PokerStars qualifier, and had reached the river on a board reading 
. Davie checked it over to O`Kearney, probably hoping for a cheap showdown. No such luck as O`Kearney bet a decent 4,000. Davie riffled his chips and went over the action and the board. Could he really have it? O`Kearney checked his hole cards again and Davie threw his hand away.
Over at an adjacent table fellow member of the Irish Poker crew “The Firm”, David Lappin, was tangling with Isle of Man resident Richard Baldwin. They both checked a flop of 
, but Baldwin bet 800 on the turn 
. Lappin made the call and they saw a river 
. Baldwin checked and Lappin made a bet of 575. Baldwin must have been suspicious of the bet size as he called and mucked when Lappin turned over 
for top pair.
