Not long ago Dan Cates was all in and at risk for a mere 20 big blinds but the American poker pro and former Triton champion has grinded his way back above the starting stack.
Julian Thomas raised to 7,000 and was called by Christian Christner on the button, Cates called in the big blind. The trio checked through a flop of

river, Cates checked and Thomas bet 12,000. That forced out Christner, but Cates had other plans and check-raised to 57,000.
"I have no pair," Thomas grinned and folded. Shortly after, Jamie Kaplan sat down one table over to make it 34 entries in total.
