The Rungood Poker Series kicked off the week out at Atlantis Casino with a bang as 97 entrants came out to play the first event of the series. The Seniors Event collected a total of $19,400 to be divided up between the final 13 players.
After a heads up deal was made to play for just the ring, Christopher Dupuy and Peg Franchetti went to battle, each looking for their first RGPS ring. It was a swingy affair, but as the dust settled, Franchetti acquired the last chips in the tournament and she became the first ring winner of the stop.
With over $300,000 in lifetime earnings, Franchetti adds her first ring to the slew of cashes and results that she has acquired over the past eleven years of tournament cashes. With this win, she now also wins an invitation to the RGPS Thunder Valley Dream Seat Invitiational.

A sizable pot had been brewing between the two players, Cabitac bet 1,000 on the board reading 5♦J♥K♦8♦6♦ and Liu responded by raising to 11,000 which saw Cabitac call.
Liu tabled 9♦7♦ for a straight flush and Cabitac mucked while the NAPT Thunder Valley Golden Player of the Series took down the pot.
