"pagan_junior" Wins WCOOP-91-L: $55 NLHE [8-Max, NLHE Main Event] for ($180,177)
It was a quick final day in the PokerStars WCOOP 2021 WCOOP-91-L: $55 NLHE [8-Max, NLHE Main Event], with the results decided within two hours of play beginning on Day 4. When all was said and done, the player with the most chips at the start of the day, "pagan_junior", was also the one left standing at the end, winning the Low Main Event WCOOP title as well as $180,177 after a heads-up deal was made.
The final win was only about $13,000 less than the original prize of $193,654, so there wasn't that much change from the deal, which left about $20,000 to play for after dividing most of the money up with "pagan_junior" on top guaranteed $10,000 more than than the $151,504 set aside for 2nd place finisher "sNap36484".
"pagan_junior" essentially led the final table wire-to-wire, starting the day with the chip lead, and holding it the entire way, except for a brief period heads-up when "sNap36484" doubled to the lead. That was short-lived however, and the game ended shortly after with "pagan_junior" doubling back to the lead quickly, then finishing it out a few hands later.
One other notable story on the final day was "benea29" of Russia. They came into the final day with the shortest stack, less than 10 big blinds, but managed to ladder up a couple of spots to finish in 7th place. That was good for more than $12,000 extra in prizes for them.

WCOOP-91-L Recap
WCOOP-91-L: $55 NLHE [8-Max, NLHE Main Event] got underway Sept 12, and before Day 2 began on Sept 13, there were 40,291 total entries in the game. That was composed of 24,638 unique entries with 15,653 re-entries to build a prize pool of $2,014,550.
That was more than 33% above the $1.5 million guarantee, and it meant there was almost $200,000 up top to play for. More than 12,600 players started Day 2, but after about 8 hours of play, there were just 160 left. Most of the 5,663 money spots were already paid at that point, but there was still a lot of money left to be won.
Day 3 convened on Sept 14 with 160 remaining, and played down to the final table. "joaomarcello" of Brazil started Day 3 with the chip lead, but they would bow out in 49th place before the end of the day as eventual winner "pagan_junior" marched to the lead. They had a great final few levels on Day 3 to secure the lead, but had to battle hard with "rickiolsen1988" and "Castanella" for the lead to end the day.
Neither of those players would figure in the end-game however, finishing 4th and 5th respectively today. Instead, it was "sNap36484", who started the day 4th in chips, that ended up battling for the title with the leader. They even had a chance to take it down, doubling to the lead heads-up, but ultimately fell short for 2nd place.
That left "pagan_junior" with the win. The final two players cut a deal heads-up that left about $20,000 and the title to play for. That deal meant "sNap36484" won the agreed upon $151,504 for 2nd, while "pagan_junior" won $180,177 and the WCOOP Low Main Event title.
That wraps WCOOP-91-L: $55 NLHE [8-Max, NLHE Main Event] after four days of play. Check out all the results from PokerStars WCOOP 2021 at the Hub and thanks for watching!
