Galitski Scores a Double with a River Jam

Nível 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

We caught the tail-end of the action as the red triangle was placed in front of Mikhail Galitski and his remaining stack of 15,025 laid beside it. Galitski was heads up on the river of a {3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{7-Spades}{a-Spades} board with what looked to be over 20,000 in the middle.

Just a few moments went by before his opponent tossed out a chip, representing a call, and Galitski tabled {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for two pair and his opponent reluctantly mucked.

Vaskaboinikau and Koshchii Going Up

Nível 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

On the heads up turn of {9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{K-Clubs}, Vasilii Koshchii bet 2,525 and Nikolai Kurakin called to see the {4-Clubs} appear on the river. Koshchii now checked and Kurakin bet 4,200 and was quickly called. Kurakin showed {J-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and that ended up second best to the {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts} of Koshchii, who built his stack.

The Russian is the second chip leader on his table behind Mikalai Vaskaboinikau.

Almost one dozen players have been eliminated in the first two levels and some, and among them were also Martin Finger and Sergey Kogotkov. The latter never recovered from losing an early all in showdown against Maxim Panyak and subsequently bowed out.

Benjamin Lamprecht Smells A Trap; Folds Queens

Nível 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Benjamin Lamprecht opened to 500 from the button and called a three-bet to 1,500 from Vladimir Kartachov on the button.

It was heads up to a flop of {9-Spades}{10-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and a check from Lamprecht was followed by a check from Kartachov.

The turn card was the {3-Hearts} and when Lamprecht checked again Kartachov bet 2,700.

Lamprecht showed {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} and folded.

“Very good.” Kartachov told him.

Harry Lodge Comes Out Second Best

Nível 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

The full board was out between PokerStars qualifiers Harry Lodge and Mika Nordman reading {7-Clubs}{j-Spades}{k-Clubs}{2-Spades}{8-Spades}. We didn't get the action previously, but Nordman was first to act and bet 7,000 into a pot of around 11,000.

"Did you mean to bet 2,100 on the flop?" asked Lodge, playing with his chips and contemplating his decision.

Lodge pondered his decision for a long while.

"I'm probably calling," said the 2015 UK Poker Championships Main Event winner.

Eventually Lodge called, and Nordman turned over {a-Spades}{k-Spades} for the nut flush and took down the pot.

The turn was the {2-Clubs} and Lakhov check-called 1,000. The river was the {2-Clubs} and both players checked.

Platonov won a small pot with his {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and Lakhov revealed his {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds} high card.

Shalamov in Trouble

Nível 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Several big names are down to less than half or even one third of the starting stack and that includes Martin Finger, Pedro Lamarca, Anatolii Zyrin and PokerStars Team Online's Mikhail Shalamov.

Shalamov raised to 425 and was called by both players in the blinds. The flop came {J-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Shalamov's continuation bet was called by the big blind only. On the {Q-Clubs} turn and {10-Clubs} river both players checked and Shalamov mucked as soon as the big blind flashed {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for a pair of tens.

Chantcev Adds Another Pot

Nível 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

On the four-way flop of {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, the action checked to Sergei Chantcev on the button and he bet 1,000. The small blind called while Konstantin Puchkov in the big blind and Yaniv Peretz in the cutoff let go. There was no betting action on the {6-Spades} turn, and Chantcev took another stab at the pot by betting the {6-Hearts} river for 2,000.

The small blind check-folded and the Russian claimed the pot without showdown.
