Schemion Next to Haxton and Petrangelo

Nível 4 : 150/300, 50 ante
Ole Schemion
Ole Schemion

Like it's a carbon-copy of a Super High Roller table, Nick Petrangelo, Isaac Haxton and Ole Schemion are seated next to each other in the Main Event. In one of his first hands at the table Schemion, who just sat down, and Haxton got tangled up in a small pot.

On a {4-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{A-Hearts} board, Haxton check-called a 1,900 bet from Schemion. The river was the {Q-Hearts} and both players checked. Haxton missed with {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}, Schemion showed {Q-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and took down the pot.

The German superstar is already having a massive week here in Monte Carlo. After topping the €10,000 opening event, banking €274,750, Schemion added a whopping €487,715 with a fifth place in the €100,000 Super High Roller today. Schemion took his seat after busting out of that one and is in the hunt for a third big score.

Schillhabel on the Way Up

Nível 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Among the notables to hit the rail were Julian Thomas, Marc MacDonnell, Fabio Sperling, Victor Ilyukhin and Joe Mouawad. Peter Chan is no longer the biggest stack, as Stefan Schillhabel took over control on the table after twice picking up aces. In the second hand he felted table neighbor Luigi Mario Grisa, who held queens, as the board provided four spades and Schillhabel had the {A-Spades}.

Chan Tops the Counts

Nível 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

On a three-way flop of {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, Peter Chan bet 2,100 into a pot of 4,000 and Daniel Belov as well as Nikolay Nikolov called. The {3-Hearts} fell on the turn and Nikolov checked, Chan made it 4,500 to go and Belov folded, Nikolov called. The {K-Hearts} river then got checked through and Nikolov in the small blind was first to show and turned over {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a busted straight and flush draw.

Chan claimed the pot with {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} for a pair of nines, and bumped his stack to six digits. Below are further updated counts.

Fatehi Folds the River

Nível 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Orpen Kisacikoglu bet 6,000 from the big blind on a board of {9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, and Ali Reza Fatehi put in chips to call. On the {k-Diamonds} river, Kiscikoglu fired again for 15,000, and this time Fatehi thought better of it and sent his cards into the muck.

One Notable Eliminated, Others Grab Seats

Nível 4 : 150/300, 50 ante
Mike Watson
Mike Watson

Mike Watson put in his remaining 3,750 from the small blind in a raised pot and got two callers. The board ran out {k-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{q-Spades}{9-Spades}, and finally, a player bet into the dry side pot on the river. His opponent folded, and the bettor revealed {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for two pair. Watson nudged his cards to the muck, and the dealer turned over {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} after the tournament legend vacated his seat.

Gomez Zapatero Back to Starting Stack

Nível 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

The day of Javier Gomez Zapatero had not gone too well until this point, and his stack had plummeted to half of what he started with. A raising war saw him then four-bet shove for the last 15,075 on the button and Elvin Muratovic, who had squeezed to 2,500, eventually called.

Javier Gomez Zapatero: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Elvin Muratovic: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

The board ran out {6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and the kicker played to let the Spaniard double.

Calamusa Out the Door

Nível 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Pierre Calamusa will not be the winner of the inaugural PokerStars Championship here in Monaco, as he just found himself on the wrong end of a coin flip situation.

Holding pocket tens, Calamusa was up against Marcin Wysocki's ace-queen. The dealer fanned out a low board until the river, when a queen was flipped to end Calamusa's tournament life.

Tedeschi Sends Chidwick to the Rail

Nível 3 : 100/200, 25 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Stephen Chidwick never recovered from losing a big pot early on and was just sent to the rail by Paul-Francois Tedeschi. It was the latter that opened to 550 at the end of the level and Chidwick called on the button, as did Romain Nardin in the big blind. On the {J-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop, Nardin checked and Tedeschi made it 925 to go. Chidwick shoved for his last 6,400 and Nardin folded, Tedeschi quickly called.

Stephen Chidwick: {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Paul-Francois Tedeschi: {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Both the {9-Hearts} turn and {Q-Clubs} river failed to improve either player and Tedescho won the pot with ace-high to eliminate Chidwick.
