O'Dwyer Better on Second Bullet

Nível 5 : 250/500, 75 ante
Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

Steve O'Dwyer was one of the first players today to hit the rail. The American poker giant, who surpassed the $20M lifetime winnings mark two months ago, opted to re-enter and is doing much better on his second bullet.

Just moments ago, O'Dwyer took out Ognyan Dimov to jump to 80,000. On showdown, Dimov had {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} open and O'Dwyer {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} while the board read {Q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. O'Dwyer's hand was best and Dimov hit the rail.

Nível 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

Tomas Jozonis opened to 1,200 under the gun, Uri Reichenstein three-bet to 3,500 on the button and Jozonis came along. Jozonis check-called 2,600 from Reichenstein on the {6-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop.

The {9-Spades} on the turn prompted a second barrel from the EPT13 Barcelona runner-up, worth 6,000, and Jozonis gave it up.

Astedt Takes from Tuna

Nível 5 : 250/500, 75 ante

Niklas Astedt has more than $1.0 million in cashes on the live tournament circuit and scooped the spadie in the €10,300 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship here in Prague along with a payday of €81,600 just a few days ago.

Astedt just got involved in a three-way hand with Akin Tuna and Dinesh Alt and the trio was already on the {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} turn. Tuna checked from the cutoff, Astedt bet 6,000 on the button and Alt folded from the small blind. On the {Q-Clubs} river, Tuna checked and called a bet worth 15,000 to muck once Astedt showed {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

Fatehi Busts Ensan and Timman in Three-Way Clash

Nível 5 : 250/500, 75 ante
Hossein Ensan
Hossein Ensan

There were already more than 27,000 in the middle and the turn showed a board of {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Clubs}. Alexander Timman in the small blind bet 23,000. Hossein Ensan called with a stack of around 60,000 and Ali Reza Fatehi on the button moved all in. The shove was for 75,550 and Timman called all in for less, as did Ensan to create a massive pot and three-way showdown.

Hossein Ensan: {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Alexander Timman: {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Ali Reza Fatehi: {J-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

"Come on, pair the board," Ensan demanded, but the {5-Clubs} on the river was a blank to send Ensan and Timman to the rail. Ensan, who was born in Iran, shook hands with Fatehi and they exchanged some more words before the EPT12 Prague Main Event champion headed to the rail.

Guilbert Doubles Through Kolev

Nível 6 : 300/600, 100 ante
Johan Guilbert
Johan Guilbert

Boris Kolev was the chipleader not long ago but has found himself on a downward slope for a while. Johan Guilbert became the latest to take some of Kolev's chips.

It was a three-bet pot with action on Guilbert in the big blind. On a {3-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop, the Frenchman bet 2,600, Kolev raised to 8,000, Guilbert shoved 25,000 and Kolev snap-called.

Johan Guilbert: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Boris Kolev: {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}

Kolev had way less outs than anticipated and needed one of the non-diamond straight cards to win. The turn was the {2-Clubs} and the river the {2-Diamonds} to hand Guilbert the double-up.

Aido Doubles Through Thorel

Nível 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

The cards of Jean-Noel Thorel were already in the muck while Sergio Aido was busy stacking his chips, the cards still visible with {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} for a set on the board of {Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}. Aido was kind enough to provide the details of what happened, as his double was to more than two times the current average.

According to Aido, a raise was followed by four callers and the flop brought a bet of 5,000 by Thorel and a call by Jonathan Bussieres from one seat over. Aido raised to 20,000 and Thorel was the only caller before check-calling the shove of the Spaniard on the turn with {A-}{Q-} for top two pair. The river blanked and that cut Thorel's stack into half.
