The remaining 78 players return to the felt at Noon local time and tensions are high with the money bubble looming in the first ever PokerStars Championship Panama Main Event. Play begins at Level 14 with blinds at 1,500/3,000 with a 500 ante. The levels will be 90 minutes long today, and 4 of them will be played.
Igor Yaroshevskyy bagged an enormous stack of 745,500 chips to lead the way. Denis Timofeev is behind him with 569,000, with Caufman Talley close behind with 546,000 chips, rounding out the top three stacks.
UFC Hall of Famer, Tito Ortiz, has a top five stack and comes in with 90 big blinds, while the last woman standing in the field, Panama's Jessica Borrego, has a healthy stack of 235,500.
The prize pool swelled to a total of $1,755,100 after seeing the entries hit 366 at the close of registration at the start of Day 2 yesterday. Paying 71 spots, this Main Event will hit the money early in the day today.
