With about 13,000 in the pot, on a board reading {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{j-Spades}, Jason Koon led out for 6,000 from the small blind.

Karim Zerzour was under the gun and called.

The river was the {10-Diamonds}. Koon wasted no time and moved all in for his remaining 12,000. Zerzour called.

Koon tabled {j-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a full house and Zerzour mucked, giving Koon an early double up.

Michael Carter the First to Go on Day 3

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

In the first hand of the day, Canada's Michael Carter moved all in for 14,000 and Vincent Allevato called one spot over. Steven Thompson Vila called from the cutoff and the button and blinds all folded.

The two active players checked both the {8-Clubs}{k-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop as well as the {J-Spades} turn.

When the {A-Diamonds} completed the board on the river, Allevato led out for 20,000 and Vila folded.

Carter showed he had missed with his {q-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Allevato took down the pot with his {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} two pair.

Ortiz Takes Two from Timofeev

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Denis Timofeev opened for 6,500 under the gun, and Tito Ortiz defended his big blind. After both players checked a {2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{k-Clubs} flop, Ortiz came out with 6,000 on the {j-Spades} turn. Timofeev called. Ortiz bet much bigger with 25,000 when the board paired on the {2-Spades} river. Timofeev tanked a bit and mucked.

The next hand, those two went to battle again. This time, action folded to Ortiz in the small blind, and he raised to an unknown amount. Timofeev called. Ortiz fired 3,500 on the flop and the same amount on the turn as {4-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} hit the felt. Timofeev called both bets, and both players checked on the end. Ortiz showed {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and took the pot.

Wheeler Mucks

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Jason Wheeler was in the hijack and raised to 7,000. Action folded around to Jessica Perez Borrego in the big blind and she decided to defend.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Borrego checked. Wheeler bet 9,000 and Borrego called.

The turn was the {8-Clubs} and both players checked to the river, which was the {a-Diamonds}.

Borrego led out for 12,500 and Wheeler went into the tank. After a moment, he raised to 32,500. Borrego didn't think for long before calling. Wheeler instantly mucked his cards, sending the pot Borrego's way.

Tito Ortiz
Tito Ortiz

After the previous two pots, Tito Ortiz opened for a raise on the button and Denis Timofeev came out three-betting with 21,000 in the small blind. Ortiz mucked.

The next hand, Ortiz raised to 6,500 after Roman Pavliuk limped early. Timofeev three-bet again, this time 20,000. Pavliuk cold-called, and Ortiz came along to make it three ways to a {2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. Action checked to Timofeev, who bet 27,000. Only Ortiz called. The MMA fighter check-called another 22,000 on the {a-Hearts} turn, and both players checked the {a-Diamonds}.

Ortiz opened {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, and Timofeev sent his cards flying into the muck.

Manuel Martinez Solsona Caught Between a Rock and a Hard Place

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Karim Zerzour moved all in for 26,000 from early position and two seats over Manuel Martinez Solsona three-bet all in over the top for 76,500. Allberto Meran Matias, who was next to act, then called, which prompted the rest of the players to fold.

Zerzour: {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Solsona: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Matias: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

"The ace-four suited is going to win," Jason Koon said from across the table.

"Don't say that," Matias replied.

As fate would have it, the board ran out {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and the ace-four did in by making a runner-runner flush. Meanwhile, Matias still profited by winning the side pot and eliminating Solsona.
