Lech Calls for a Dos

Nível 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Michael Lech opened for 5,500 only to have Daniel Ades three-bet all in for 23,100 from the hijack. Action folded back to Lech and he decided to make the call.

Ades: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Lech: {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

"Dos," Lech requested after the flop came down {5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades}. The dealer obliged and put out the {2-Clubs} turn to give him an open-ended straight draw.

Fortunately for Ades, the {7-Hearts} river was safe for him.

"So close," said Lech, who earlier this week was the subject of a feature story right here on PokerNews.

They Failed to Survive Day 2...

Nível 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Radoja Versus Lech

Nível 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

From early position, Michael Lech opened for 5,500. Big blind Mark Radoja called and he check-called a bet of 4,500 on {2-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{2-Hearts} as well. Both checked the {3-Diamonds} on the turn before the {8-Clubs} completed the board. Radoja bet out 12,100 and Lech called. Radoja showed {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and Lech mucked.

Lech, who's living the nomadic life as he continues a months-long journey exploring South and Central America, is still the bigger stack of the two.

Lights Out for White

Nível 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Allan White was in the big blind and shoved his remaining 40,000 in the middle after Pedro Romanzo Pollino opened the button. Pollino quickly called.

Pollino: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
White: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

The board ran out {q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{j-Spades} and White hit the rail.

Talley Backs Into It

Nível 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Caufman Talley was in early position and raised to 6,000. Allberto Meran Matias was in the cutoff and called, as did the player in the big blind.

The flop came {k-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and both the big blind and Talley checked. Matias bet 8,000 and the big blind quickly folded. Talley went into the tank and put in a check-raise to 28,000. Matias called.

The turn was the {10-Spades} and Talley opted to check again. Matias tanked for about two minutes before betting 30,000. Talley called.

The river was the {10-Clubs}.Talley checked and Matias quickly checked back.

Talley tabled {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for trip tens and Matias shook his head before launching his cards into the muck.

Sakhai Doubles Through O'Dwyer

Nível 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Hertsel Levi Sakhai got his last 24,500 in with {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} against the {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} of Steve O'Dwyer. The flop came king-high, and O'Dwyer sent over a double after he found no improvement to overtake the kings.

Allevato Has Dvoress Crushed

Nível 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Daniel Dvoress bet about 21,000 on a board of {2-Spades}{6-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} from the big blind, and Vincent Allevato called quickly from the button. Dvoress showed top pair: {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. It was no good though, as Allevato had turned him dead with {a-Spades}{9-Spades}.

Jason Koon
Jason Koon

Jason Koon was facing a bet of 40,200 from Aleks Dimitrov, who was under the gun, when we got to their table. The board had come {5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.

"I think my hand's too good to fold," Koon declared.

Moments later, he did call. Dimitrov showed {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, and Koon showed he had been outkicked: {k-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Daniel Ades with the Old Stop and Go

Nível 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

With 84 players remaining in the tournament, Michael Lechs raised to 5,500 from the cutoff and action folded to Daniel Ades, who was sitting with just 16,000 total in the big blind. Still, he had 2,400 of it in already and opted to call the additional 3,100.

When the flop fell {3-Spades}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, Ades immediately went all in for 10,500 and Lech, who didn't seem too excited about it, debated what to do. Eventually he released his hand and the stop-and-go move worked for Ades, who flashed his {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.
