Igor Kurganov, who signed with PokerStars last month and plays his first PokerStars Championship Main Event as a sponsored pro here today, jumped into action just before the dinner break and he's already off to a good start.
In a recent hand, Honduras' Luis Gutierrez Turcios raised to 1,500 under the gun and Kurganov, who was to his direct left, three-bet to 3,900. Action folded back to Turcios, and he called to see a 
flop.
Turcois checked, Kurgaov bet 4,000, and the Honduran check-raised to 11,000.
Kurganov began chatting up his opponent in Spanish, and he managed to pull a few answers out of him. Whatever was said, it was enough to get Kurganov to move all in for 22,000.
Turcois wasted little time in laying down his hand.
