With around 70,000 in the middle and the board reading , Dan Smith checked out of the big blind and Fedor Holz moved all in from the cutoff for 41,800. Smith gave it some time and asked for the count, then eventually called for half of his remaining stack with just a few seconds left on his shot clock. Holz turned over and Smith had that beat with .
At the same time, Yu Liang and Manig Loeser clashed with the latter being the one at risk for 83,300 with . Liang was well ahead with pocket sixes, but the board came to give Loeser a set.
Down to 15,100, Liang shoved one hand later from the cutoff and Loeser called on the button. When the cards were tabled, Liang cracked up while spotting that Loeser had the exact same cards again with . Liang had a flip with , but failed to get there on the board .
Sylvain Loosli has been eliminated recently as well.
Yu Liang and Fedor Holz bought back in on their second bullet, while HKD 400,000 Super High Roller champion Steve O'Dwyer just walked in with a fresh first stack. So far, the magic mango from the last few days has not been spotted yet, but O'Dwyer is looking to take down the third PokerStars Championship High Roller event in a row.
Every time we walk past Shuo Li’s table he is involved in a big hand. We arrived on the flop with the board reading and over 50,000 already in the pot just as Aido (big blind) checked the action over to Li.
The clock ticked down to 4 seconds before Li slid in a bet of 16,000. Aido chewed over the decision but elected to call and the dealer burned and turned the , which brought another check from Aido and another 30-second tank from Li, who eventually chooses to check it back.
The river brought a third check from Aido and Li waited until there was just two seconds of time remaining before sliding out a bet of 42,000. This brought a speedy fold from the Spaniard and Li takes down another.
The Single Re-Entry Shot Clock is quickly becoming a family affair with father and son duo Dejan Boskovic and Dejan Boskovic Jr both playing, in addition to the UK’s Salter siblings Jack and Louis.
It is the latter sibling we are following in this particular hand however, with Louis choosing to defend from the big blind following a JC Alvarado cutoff raise to 5,100.
Salter checked the flop over to Alvarado, who quickly c-bet 4,500, which was quickly called to take the action to the turn.
The action went check, check and did so again on the river. Salter rolled over for two pair and an unimpressed looking Alvarado pitched his cards into the muck.
"How much do you have left?" Daniel Dvoress asked over to Mustapha Kanit when the action had folded to the Canadian in the small blind. Kanit replied with a "around 21,000" and Dvoress pushed all in, Kanit called.
Mustapha Kanit:
Daniel Dvoress:
Both players spiked a straight draw on the flop, but the turn and river blanked to award the double for Kanit. His stack was counted for 21,100 and Dvoress joked "come on man, you said around 21,000 and now it is 21,100?" Both players laughed, and the level came to an end.
In one of the first hands after coming back from the break, Dengfend Yu raised to 6,500 and Fedor Holz called on the button, as did Timothy Adams in the big blind. On the flop of , the action checked to Holz and he bet 21,000. Adams moved all in for little more and Yu folded, Holz called.
Timothy Adams:
Fedor Holz:
The turn and river failed to improve Holz and Adams doubled through him for 36,000, leaving Holz short on less than 15 big blinds.
After a raise by Manig Loeser in early position and a call by Rafael Moraes on the button, the flop fell and Loeser continued for 11,000. Moraes opted for a raise to 35,000 and Loeser glanced over at the stack of his opponent before pushing forward his stack of T-5,000 chips. Moraes quickly got out of the way and dropped below starting stack.
