Mikita Badziakouski Eliminated in 8th Place (HK$ 485,000)

Nível 17 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Mikita Badziakouski
Mikita Badziakouski

The action folded all the way around to Mikita Badziakouski in the small blind and he asked table neighbor and big blind Zuo Wang for the stack size. When his shot clock had run down to just one second, Badziakouski moved all in. Wang checked his stack carefully and had Badziakouski covered by a mere three antes, then called with 10 seconds left on his own clock.

Mikita Badziakouski: {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Zuo Wang: {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

The flop of {Q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} was bad news for Badziakouski, as he now needed running cards to avoid elimination. It was all over after the {10-Diamonds} turn, making the {A-Hearts} river a formality. Badziakouski was eliminated in 8th place for HK$ 485,000 and left the table with a smile and "ah well, next time."

The remaining 7 players are now guaranteed HK$ 620,000 (approximately $79,790).

Wang Wins From Peters

Nível 17 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Zuo Wang it appears is a superstitious man, and while he had the option to move his chair over and gain a little more elbowroom he did not want to take the place of the recently departed Mikita Badziakouski as he believes it is bad luck.

Wang may be right and won a decent pot from Peters shortly afterward. Pre-flop it was Wang in the driving seat opening the action with a raise to 90,000 from the cutoff and Peters made the call from the big blind.

Both players checked the {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop and Peters decided to try and take control of the hand on the {j-Clubs} turn with a bet of 170,000.

Wang asked how much the bet was for before sliding out the call and the dealer peeled off the {5-Spades} river.

This brought a check from Peters and a tickly little 50,000 bet from Wang. Peters folded instantly.

Shuo Li Eliminated in 7th Place (HK$ 620,000)

Nível 17 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Shuo Li
Shuo Li

Short stack Shuo Li moved all in for 155,000 from the cutoff and David Peters took his time before announcing all in from the small blind, forcing a quick fold from Nick Petrangelo in the big blind.

Shuo Li: {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
David Peters: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}

The Chinese rail was rooting for a ten, but the board ran out {K-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{J-Spades}{J-Clubs} to eliminate Li in 7th place for a payday of HK$ 620,000. All six remaining hopefuls now have HK$ 778,000 (~$100,124) locked up for their efforts.

Short Stack Ninja Kitai Doubles Again

Nível 17 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Down to his last 265,000, Davidi Kitai moved all in from the hijack and David Peters called, while the rest of the table got out of the way.

Davidi Kitai: {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
David Peters: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}

The flop of {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades} brought no help just yet for the Belgian, but Kitai paired up on the {10-Hearts} turn. A blank {J-Spades} river changed nothing and Kitai found yet another double.

Kitai Takes Another

Nível 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Jack Salter opened the action with a raise from the cutoff on the last hand of the level but folded to a Quan Zhou button re-raise.

The first hand of the new level saw Quan Zhou min-raise from middle position and action folded around to Davidi Kitai on the button who moved all-in for 535,000.

The rest of the table got out of the way and it was back on Zhou, who looked like he had no idea what to do. Just as the shot clock ticked into the red the Chinese player threw in the first of his three time bank chips.

However, at the end of the extra 3-seconds Zhou pitched his cards into the muck and tapped the table leaving Kitai to scoop the pot without showdown.

Zhou Still on Top

Nível 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

David Peters raised to 110,000 on the button, and after both players in the blinds folded, Peters showed {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. One hand later, Zuo Wang raised to 110,000 from under the gun also claimed the blinds and antes without any resistance.

Two hands later, Zhou raised to 100,000 on the button and Wang three-bet to 260,000 in order to claim the pot uncontested.

Zhou also raised to 100,000 and then folded to a shove by Davidi Kitai, but remains the biggest stack among the last six.

Salter Doubles Through Zhou to Snag Lead

Nível 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

The table folded around to Jack Salter in the small blind and the Brit promptly announced ‘all-in’ and was quickly called by Quan Zhou in the big blind, who as current leader had the chips to spare, though this would not be the case when the dust settled on the hand.

Jack Salter: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Quan Zhou: {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The board ran out {5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} with Salter spiking top set on the river to rub a little of his namesake into the wound and grant the UK player the double up.

Kitai a Chip-Millionaire

Nível 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

David Peters raised to 110,000 from under the gun and Davidi Kitai called out of the big blind. On the {9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop, Kitai checked and Peters continued for 60,000, which the Belgian called. On the {5-Clubs} turn, both players checked and Kitai used one time extension on the {6-Diamonds} turn before betting 155,000 with around 470,000 behind.

Peters also used one extension and let the next 30 seconds run down to all but one second before tossing in a single chip for the call. Kitai showed {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a queen-high flush and that won the pot, sending Kitai up to more than a million and Peters down to far less than that. Kitai has one time bank left, Peters still has two.
