Break

Nível 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

The players are on their final 20-minute break of the night. Two more levels of 60 minutes before chips are bagged and tagged.

Vieira Gets Big Value

Nível 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Joao Vieira bet 13,500 in the small blind on a board of {4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}, and an opponent in the cutoff called after using a time extension. On the {3-Hearts} river, Vieira had to pause when his foe piped up.

"I am not going for flush," the player said. "You think I'm on a flush draw, I'm not. I will pay you."

Vieira took up the challenge and fired 28,000. His opponent again used a time extension.

"You show me?"

"No."

Vieira tabled {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and his opponent pounded the table in submission.

"Good answer," he said. "I had the nine."

Ruzicka Takes From Foxen

Nível 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Alex Foxen raised to 2,200 from the cutoff and Vojtech Ruzicka called on the button. Foxen then check-called 2,600 from Ruzicka on the {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop and 4,800 on the {9-Clubs} turn.

Both players snap-checked the {J-Diamonds} on the river. Foxen showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} for ace high, Ruzicka quickly showed {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} for tens and sixes to win the hand.

Kolinkovskyi Doubles Through Lakemeier

Nível 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

After an early open to 2,200, Jens Lakemeier repopped to 5,800 in the next seat. The next player to act, Pavlo Kolinkovskyi, shoved all in for 18,400, and action folded back to Lakemeier. He called after getting a count.

Kolinkovskyi: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Lakemeier: {k-Spades}{9-Spades}

Lakemeier outflopped his foe when {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}{k-Hearts} hit. However, the {a-Spades} arrived on the turn. Kolinkovskyi wasn't out of the woods yet as the 2017 bracelet winner picked up a flush draw, but the {10-Diamonds} was a brick river.

Haxton vs. Lewis

Nível 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

With slightly under 30,000 in the pot, Romain Lewis and Isaac Haxton saw a {4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{9-Clubs} turn together. The Frenchman checked, Haxton bet 16,000, and Lewis called.

The {10-Hearts} on the river got checked by both players. Lewis showed {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for a rivered flush, Haxton nodded and mucked his hand.

Nível 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Patrick Leonard (in the Main Event)
Patrick Leonard (in the Main Event)

Patrick Leonard, who got eliminated on Day 4 of the Main Event earlier today, was all in for three-quarters of his stack against Aleksandar Tomovic in a big blind versus button situation.

Leonard held {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and was up against Tomovic' {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} for the 125k pot. The {J-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Spades} flop brought a jack but more help didn't arrive, leaving Leonard with 20 big blinds.

Riess Bluffs Off to Luca

Nível 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Ryan Riess
Ryan Riess

Ivan Luca checked and was facing a bet of 9,000 from Ryan Riess on a board of {10-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{q-Spades}. Luca was in the cutoff and used a time extension but then called. He checked the {9-Spades} river and Riess bet 25,000. It looked like enough to put Luca all in, or very close. The Argentinian decided to call it off.

Riess tabled {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for an airball, and Luca showed {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.
