Savage End for Savard

Nível 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Jean-Pascal Savard got his final 18,400 into the middle with {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and was crushed pre-flop when Nick Petrangelo called with {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

The flop of {6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} did nothing to improve Savard's chances, and the {8-Clubs} just snuffed out more outs. The {10-Spades} river ended Savard's interest in the tournament and gave Petrangelo a six-figure stack.

Last Year's Runner-Up Eliminated... Again

Nível 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Sean Winter
Sean Winter

Sean Winter, who finished runner-up to Nick Maimone in this event at last year's PCA, has been eliminated from the tournament for a second and final time.

It happened when there was around 15,000 in the pot and a flop of {3-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. Oleksii Khoroshenin checked under the gun and Winter bet 4,600 from the hijack. Khoroshenin then woke up with a check-raise to 16,100, Winter called, and the {8-Clubs} appeared on the turn.

Khoroshenin took a long time before moving all in, and Winter hit the tank to debate what to do with his last 34,500.

Eventually he called off with the {q-Spades}{k-Hearts} and discovered the bad news, that Khoroshenin held the {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for a full house. The {2-Diamonds} river failed to pair the board for Winter, and he was eliminated from the tournament for a second time.

[Removed:17] Takes Some From Maria Ho

Nível 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Maria Ho
Maria Ho

Maria Ho (pictured) and [Removed:17] went at it for a lot of chips in the last level before the dinner break here on Day 1 of the $25,000 PokerStars Championship Bahamas High Roller.

Preflop, Yan raised Ho's opening bet on the button from 5,500 to 12,500, which Ho called in the cutoff. The flop of {9-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts} saw both players check, and they did likewise on the {6-Spades} turn. However, on the {K-Hearts} river, Ho checked to Yan, who led for 9,500. Ho couldn;t call and Yan stacked up a six-figure pile of chips. Ho is a little short approaching the final break of the night.

Charlie Carrel Done and Dusted

Nível 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Charlie Carrel (right)
Charlie Carrel (right)

A short-stacked Charlie Carrel moved all in for 12,000 from the cutoff and action folded to Sam Greenwood, who called from the big blind.

Carrel: {a-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Greenwood: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

Carrel needed some help, and he got a little when the {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop gave him a gutshot wheel draw. The {J-Hearts} turn was no help to the young Brit, and neither was the {9-Spades} river.

Carrel has already exercised his single re-entry option, which means he's officially been eliminated from the 2017 PokerStars Championship Bahamas $25,000 High Roller.

Liv Boeree Outflipped

Nível 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

It was a classic race situation on Liv Boeree's table, or to be more specific, the table she has just moved to where she now sits to the direct right of Igor Kurganov. A tough draw any way you choose to look at it, but Boeree isn't getting any luck from the deck either.

All-in against the shorter stack of Pablo Fernandez, Boeree held {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and was racing to eliminate against Fernandez's hand of {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

The board gave Boeree no help and she dropped the 27,500 that Fernandez's stack was worth, sliding all the way down to around 38,000 chips.

Mohsin Charania vs. Vojtech Ruzicka

Nível 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Action folded around to Mohsin Charania on the button and he raised to 1,800, which Vojtech Ruzicka three-bet to 6,200 from the small blind. Charania made the call and then called a bet of 5,300 on the {7-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop.

After the dealer burned and turned the {7-Spades}, Ruzicka checked and Charania bet 12,500. Ruzicka thought long and hard before making the call, and then he checked for a second time on the {3-Clubs} river. Charania checked behind and then mucked when Ruzicka tabled the {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} for ace-jack high.

Seymour Gets Stammen to Fold

Nível 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Richard Seymour made it 4,500 to go on a flop of {5-Spades}{8-Hearts}{10-Spades}. He was called in two spots, including Keven Stammen. On the turn of {9-Spades}, Seymour was at it again, barrelling off 9,500 into what was becoming a juicy pot.

After much deliberation, Stammen made the fold, intimating that he was really confused as to Seymour's hand. The three-time Superbowl champion was in no mood to help his opponents by showing his cards.
