After almost 29 levels, four starting days and two tournament days, the 1,104-entry strong field of the €225+€25 Main Event of the PokerNews Cup at the King's Casino in Rozvadov has been whittled down to the last eight hopefuls.

The finalists have €4,460 guaranteed thus far, but all eyes are set on the first-place payout of €44,707 and the bragging rights that come along with it.

Germany's Ronny Voth led after Day 1a, won the Pot-Limit Omaha Side Event, and finished Day 2 atop with 9,125,000 after a strong last few levels. He is followed by Alin-Florin Toma with 7,185,000 and King's regular Magic Man 558 follows in third place with 5,735,000.

Timur Caglan has had a few final tables here at Europe's biggest card room, but those were all smaller cashes and this will be his biggest payday thus far. Caglan comes into Day 3 with 3,615,000 followed by Ondrej Vlašánek (2,535,000) and Austria's Christian Sperrer (2,275,000).

Miroslav Lelek lost a massive pot in the last hand of Day 2 when his aces were cracked by Toma's kings and he carried over 1,280,000, the other short stack is Rikk Effendi with 1,090,000.
