Giuseppe De Tomasso Leads 92 Survivors After Day 1c

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Giuseppe De Tomasso
Giuseppe De Tomasso

The third and penultimate starting day filled the poker room of Europe's biggest card room, the King's Casino in Rozvadov, and generated a field of 333 unique players and 59 reentries. Many of those that didn't make it immediately jumped into Day 1d, which started four hours apart, while the €90+€10 King's Local Championship also saw a strong turnout with 325 entries.

After 14 levels of 30 minutes each, only 92 players bagged up for Day 1c and Italy's Giuseppe De Tomasso (534,500) won the race against table mate Tippy333 (511,000) to claim the lead. De Tomasso consistently increased his stack and also won a flip against Vasile Iuga to become a contender while Tippy333 won a big pot with kings against the ace-king suited of Erbse. Deniz Sinanmis cracked aces in a big pot and finished third with 330,000, while Slovakia's Martin Chodelka (311,500) and Johannes Hellwig (290,000) complete the top five.

Other big stacks and notables that advanced to Day 2 include Sergei Matveev (250,000), Andrej Dikos (191,500), Antonín Felfel (145,000), Thomas Zurek (132,000), and Patrick Wolff (104,000). Among those to fall were Daniela Jäger, Claudia and Roman Volf, Scott Hanna, David Taborsky, Elena Litvinyuk, Karol Radomski and Antonio Quarta.

Even before the registration of the fourth and final starting day was closed, the guaranteed prize pool of €200,000 had been eclipsed and more than 1,000 entries were recorded. The final numbers will be available as soon as the chip counts for Day 1d become available and the payouts will be released prior to the start of Day 2 tomorrow at 1 p.m. local time as well.

Day 1c Finished, Giuseppe De Tomasso Leads

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

The screens show 99 players remaining, but that number will surely get updated still when the full chip counts become available. A recap of today's action will be posted shortly.

Giuseppe De Tomasso appears to be the chip leader with 534,500, followed by Tippy333. Deniz Sinanmis is also among the big stacks with 330,000.

Kevin Spielmann Busts in Last Hand

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Kevin Spielmann pushed all in from under the gun for 48,500 and the action folded to Oliver Kalinasch three seats over. He called and the rest of the table folded.

Spielmann: {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}
Kalinasch: {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Spielmann busted one hand before bagging and tagging.

Erbse's Stack Vanished

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Erbse
Erbse

Daniela Jäger and Erbse are no longer in Day 1c while Giuseppe De Tomasso and Tippy333 have huge stacks.

It was Tippy333 who busted Erbse when five-betting all in with pocket kings. Erbse, who had four-bet to 80,000 called with {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} and a king on the flop left Erbse in desperate shape, he was drawing dead on the turn.

Martin Kabrhel Crashes Out

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

On the flop of {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs}, Sandro Pitzanti checked out of the small blind and Martin Kabrhel bet 12,000 from early position. Pitzanti check-raised all in for 90,000 and Kabrhel started some table chat before eventually putting his opponent on the nut flush draw. Kabrhel then called and his read was correct.

Pitzanti: {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Kabrhel: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}

"Dealer, red cards please!" Kabrhel demanded. But the {3-Clubs} turn gave Pitzanti the nut flush, making the {7-Diamonds} river a formality. The table broke and Kabrhel only had a few big blinds left, then busted soon after.

Claudia Volf Loses Flip to Christoph Zobl

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

The cards of the two all in players are already gone and Christoph Zobl's {A-Spades}{K-Spades} claim the entire pot. He had raised and then called the shoves of Claudia Volf, who had queens, and another player with {K-}{10-}.

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{6-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and the ace on the turn improved Zobl.
