$3,000 PCA Mystery Bounty
Dia 2 Concluído
A flurry of action at the 2023 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure saw David Peters bag the overnight chip lead after Day 2 of the $3,000 PCA Mystery Bounty event. The high stakes veteran leads the final 22 players, looking to add to his impressive resume with a PCA title in The Bahamas.
Peters collected chips and bounties all day to take a slim lead over Andy Wilson heading into the final day of action. Michael Uguccioni sits third, while Bulgarians Petar Kalev and Yuliyan Kolev round out the top five spots with just the final three tables remaining. Canadians Sebastien Aube and Luc Lafontaine are next on the list, with Mauricio Sanchez and Kitty Kuo right behind. American Samuel Cobian has the only other seven-figure chip count sitting in tenth position.

A total of 372 entries began the day, including the players who returned after surviving Day 1. That number included around 140 new entrants before the late registration period closed as play Day 2 began.
The first level saw a flurry of action around the room at the beautiful Baha Mar Resort, as players moved all-in with short stacks and bounty cards were in high demand. PokerStars Ambassadors Lex Veldhuis and Parker Talbot were among the notable names to finish short of the money but collect bounties. That group also included Chance Kornuth, Dominik Nitsche and Byron Kaverman.
The first big bounty moment of the day came early when Joey Weissman pulled the $40,000 ticket. The next came on the first break, when Michael Jozoff pulled the PokerStars Platinum Pass but was eliminated on the very next level of play. Late in the night, Aube was the first to score the highest bounty prize, pulling the $100,000 ticket before bagging his stack. This leaves one final $100,000 bounty prize and one $40,000 ticket in play for the final 22 players on Day 3.
Among the notables in the money was PokerStars Team Pro Benjamin Spragg, along with seasoned pros Chino Rheem, Shaun Deeb, and Erik Seidel. Conor Beresford, fresh off his PCA title in Event #19: $50,000 7-Handed, made another deep run and pulled one of the $25,000 bounty tickets.
Players will return to their seats on Saturday, where the blinds will resume on level 27 at 20,000/40,000 and a 40,000 big blind ante. The 40-minute levels will continue, with 15-minute breaks after every three until a new PCA champion is crowned.
Stay tuned to PokerNews for our continuous live reporting all the way through the final hand and the next trophy being handed out here in The Bahamas.
