Marques Gets Value From Chidwick

Nível 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Andre Marques raised to 3,500 from middle position before Stephen Chidwick three-bet to 9,000 from the hijack. Marques called.

The flop came {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}{7-Spades} and action checked to Chidwick who bet 5,500. Marques called.

Action checked through on the {6-Spades} turn.

The river came the {6-Hearts} and Marques bet 3,500. Chidwick called. Marques showed {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for jacks and tens to take down the pot as Chidwick mucked.

Meran Forces Fold From Baumstein

Nível 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Alberto Meran & Scott Baumstein
Alberto Meran & Scott Baumstein

In a preflop three-bet pot to the {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} turn with some 47,000 in the middle, Scott Baumstein had bet 19,400 out of the small blind in the last hand before the break. Alberto Meran on the button then pushed all-in for 161,600 and that sent Baumstein into the tank for more than five minutes.

Some three minutes into the break, Baumstein folded and the pot was pushed to Meran. Chance Kornuth was trying to get Meran to show his cards but that request was denied, and guessing the cards only resulted in some friendly table chatter.

Poker Player Busts from WSOP Circuit King's Main Event in a Chop Pot; No One Caught It!

You can chalk this one up in the "never seen that before" poker category. Pierre Kauert busted in sixth place in the WSOP Circuit Main Event at King's Casino on...get this...a heads-up chop pot.

Yes, that's right, he became the first player ever, at least on a live stream, to be eliminated from a tournament in a hand he didn't actually lose. No one, not even the announcers, caught the mistake, and by the time it was discovered the pot should have been chopped, it was too late.

"It does fall under player and dealer responsibility and cannot really do anything about it at this point. If it wasn’t live streamed it would never have been realized and so we just move on," World Poker Tour's Executive Tour Director Matt Savage, who was not associated with the event, explained to PokerNews when asked how he would have proceeded.

See how the hand went down here!

Copy and Paste Hand Dents Haxton's Stack Once More

Nível 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Patros Benham was all-in for 17,700 after facing an open raise to 2,400 by Isaac Haxton. Nikolai Tulin then jammed for 46,600 and Haxton eventually called to put two players at risk.

Patros Benham: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Nikolai Tulin: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Isaac Haxton: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The {10-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} board delivered yet another blow to Haxton as Benham tripled up and Tulin doubled through Haxton for 28,900.

Hu Wins at Showdown

Nível 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

There was 20,000 in the pot. Anthony Hu was in the cutoff against Alexandre Raymond on the button.

The flop was {k-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Hu check-called Raymond's bet of 6,000.

The turn brought the {j-Diamonds} and Hu check-called another bet of 8,500 from Raymond.

The river came the {k-Hearts} and Hu checked once more. Raymond checked behind and Hu showed {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} to take down the pot with two pair as Raymond mucked.

Huber Doubles Through Wigg

Nível 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Stefan Huber
Stefan Huber

Stefan Huber opened to 2,500 from early position and Anton Wigg made it 9,000 on his direct left. Action folded back to Huber, who jammed for 23,900. Wigg didn't like the spot but eventually called to put Huber at risk.

Stefan Huber: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Anton Wigg: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

Wigg paired up on the {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop and turned a flush draw as the {8-Hearts} hit the felt. A collective "ooooo" came from the table but Huber's double up was confirmed following the {9-Clubs} river.

Taberham Trumps Tens to Triple

Nível 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Patros Benham opened to 2,500 but then short-stacked Simon Taberham moved all in behind him for 11,700 total.

The action was then on Isaac Haxton, who decided to make the call after a brief stint in the tank. It folded back around to Benham, who then decided to go all in himself for a total of 38,600. Haxton made the call and the cards were on their backs, with Haxton covering.

Simon Taberham: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Patros Benham: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Issac Haxton: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

"Well, I'm in good shape!" Taberham said when he realized what he was up against.

The flop came {5-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{k-Hearts}, which gave Taberham top pair but Haxton was holding the {10-Hearts} for a flush draw. Luckily for Taberham, the board ran out {2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} which awarded him the pot for a triple up while Haxton and Benham took back their bets.

"Well that wasn't the worst outcome," Haxton admitted as Taberham stacked his new chips.
