For the first time since 2019, PokerStars returns to the Bahamas for the highly anticipated PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) and the PokerStars No Limit Hold-em Players Championship (PSPC) for a fortnights worth of epic poker action.

Tournament proceedings began yesterday at the beautiful Baha Mar Resort with the $100,000 PCA Super High Roller and $1,100 BSOP Bahamas Main Event, which continue today.

However, most of the eyes will be on the $10,300 PCA Main Event which has its first of two starting flights commencing at 12 p.m. ET.

The plan for the Day 1 flights is to play eight 60-minute levels, with a 20-minute break taking place every two levels. Rheem Romps to Title 2019

Chino Rheem
Chino Rheem

In the last edition of the PCA Main Event, Chino Rheem was the last player standing after he conquered an 865-player strong field and collected the $1,567,100 set aside for the winner.

It was a memorable performance from Rheem as he demolished the competition in the final two days of the tournament to etch his name in the history books.

Rheem defeated Daniel Strelitz in heads-up play to claim the title and added his name to the list of PCA Main Event winners which includes legends such as Gus Hansen, Bertrand "Elky" Grospellier, Dimitar Danchev and Maria Lampropulos, to name a few.

Kulev Keeps The Pressure High

Nível 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Alex Kulev
Alex Kulev

Alex Kulev has been enjoying a massage since he started in the first level of the day and with plenty of pressure on himself, he applied the same on his opponents as well ever since. His stack has kept growing, too, and he also raked in the latest pot after a tussle with Marco Zevola.

With 5,300 in the middle to the {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{k-Hearts} turn, Kulev checked in the cutoff. Zevola on the button bet 1,400 only for Kulev to check-raise to 6,200 and win the pot uncontested.

Sequeira Successfully Bluffs Huber

Nível 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Stefan Huber
Stefan Huber

The seat of Michael Vanier was already open when a larger pot developed between Jamie Sequeira and Stefan Huber. With 12,900 in the middle to the {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} turn, Huber checked and then called a bet worth 3,800. Huber checked again the {2-Clubs} on the river and Sequeira now made it 6,500 to go.

The fold by Huber followed and Sequeira smiled. "That's a good one," he said and flashed his cards to Pedro Garagnani first before revealing the {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} to the table. "I think you bluffed him," Thomas Boivin chimed in and Huber was left with a dry smile on the face.

Guilbert Raises River

Nível 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante
Johan Guilbert
Johan Guilbert

Christopher Oliver opened to 700 from early position and was only called by Pedro Neves and Johan Guilbert from the blinds.

The {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop checked through to the {7-Clubs} turn which prompted Neves to bet 1,800. Only Guilbert called.

Neves continued for 4,500 on the {7-Diamonds} river which sent Guilbert into the tank. After a while, Guilbert gently placed 12,300 chips into the middle to indicate a raise.

Now it was Neves' turn to ponder his decision and after several moments he decided to let his hand go.

Gathy Triples Up; Sammartino Eliminated

Nível 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante
Giuseppe Dario Sammartino
Giuseppe Dario Sammartino

Vladas Tamasauskas raised to 700 from under the gun and was called by Dario Sammartino in the hijack and Nick Marchington on the button before Michael Gathy moved all in for 14,300 from the big blind.

Tamasauskas raised over the top to around 40,000 in which Sammartino called off for his tournament life and Marchington folded.

Michael Gathy: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Dario Sammartino: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Vladas Tamasauskas: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Both Tamasauskas and Sammartino had monsters and Gathy was drawing thin but the flop came {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades} to put Gathy in front. The turn came the {5-Spades} and the river the {4-Spades} which secured the triple up for Gathy and the elimination of Sammartino.

Eliot Hudon
Eliot Hudon

Eliot Hudon was already all-in with side action happening on a {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop between Alberto Meran and Joao Simao. Meran bet 4,000 and Simao reluctantly called.

After the {3-Clubs} turn, Meran bet another 10,000 and Simao tank-folded.

Eliot Hudon: {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Alberto Meran: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The {7-Clubs} river didn't matter anymore as Hudon had locked up the triple up with trips.

Gathy Turns Broadway

Michael Gathy
Michael Gathy

With 7,500 in the middle on the {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{q-Spades}{k-Hearts} board, Michael Gathy check-jammed for 12,600 from the big blind after John Krpan bet 2,500 from the button. Krpan wasn't a fan of the situation but called to put Gathy at risk of elimination.

Michael Gathy: {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}
John Krpan: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Krpan needed a ten to chop the pot but the {6-Diamonds} river confirmed Gathy's double up.

Wang Felted by Holz

Nível 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Michael Wang
Michael Wang

Michael Wang moved all-in for the last 5,100 via open shove and it folded all the way to Fedor Holz in the big blind. The not-so-retired poker superstar mulled it over for 30 seconds and then made the call.

Michael Wang: {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Fedor Holz: {j-Spades}{10-Spades}

The {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop gave both players straight draws. Nothing changed with the {4-Spades} turn but the {q-Clubs} river spelled the end for Wang on the first entry.
