Perrault on a Four-Bet Rampage

Nível 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Marc Perrault min-opened second to act and Scott Baumstein three-bet to 725,000 in the small blind. Baumstein released when Perrault crammed it in.

The next hand, Perrault raised again to 200,000 and got three-bet. This time, it was Pedro Padilha making it 580,000 a couple of seats over. Again, Perrault shoved, and Padilha didn't bother with a count before mucking.

Koonce Takes Over the Lead

Nível 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Jason Koonce raised to 260,000 from under the gun with {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} and Farid Jattin defended from the big blind with {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. The flop fell {k-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds} giving both players top pair and Jattin began with a check. Koonce continued for 325,000 and Jattin made the call.

The turn was the {8-Clubs} and Jattin checked again. Koonce checked it back this time and the {9-Clubs} completed the board. Jattin confidently splashed in a bet of 565,000 and Koonce snapped him off to take over the lead.

Michael Robionek Eliminated in 21st Place ($150,600)

Michael Robionek

Farid Jattin opened to 190,000 from under the gun with {a-Spades}{5-Spades} and Michael Robionek shipped all in for 565,000 in the small blind with {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. Julien Martini looked down at {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} in the big blind and just made the call. Jattin folded and the two remaining hands were tabled.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Robionek would need runner-runner in order to stay alive. The {4-Spades} on the turn left Robionek drawing dead to the {9-Spades} on the river. Robionek's departure spelled an end to his Platinum Pass Cinderella story but he will still leave with a six-figure payday.

Luke Marsh Eliminated in 22nd Place ($150,600)

Griffin Benger made it 175,000 to go first to act and Luke Marsh shipped his last 450,000 from the button, Benger quickly called.

Luke Marsh: {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}
Griffin Benger: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}

Marsh was trailing and already grabbed his belongings when the flop had come {Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades}. By the time the {4-Spades} fell on the turn, Marsh had left his seat and was on the way out, he didn't even notice the {3-Clubs} on the river anymore. Marsh takes home $150,600 for his efforts.

Duta Doubles, Leaves Marsh on Crumbs

Nível 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Florian Duta ripped it in from the button for 1,460,000. Luke Marsh got the count and thought a bit before placing a chip in to call.

Florian Duta: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Luke Marsh: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

The {4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} community was as useless as it gets for Marsh, and he's down to about six big blinds.

Shakerchi Jams Into Stewart; Benger Doubles Through Marsh

Nível 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Picking up the action on the {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{J-Spades} turn, Scott Stewart bet 240,000 in the big blind and Talal Shakerchi called in the cutoff. The {Q-Spades} appeared on the river and Stewart quickly cut out a bet of 620,000 before sliding it forward. Shakerchi moved all in and Stewart asked for a rough count, which happened to be around 1.65 million. That was enough to force a fold from Stewart.

The very next hand on the same table, Luke Marsh opened to 170,000 and Griffin Benger jammed for 1,380,000, Marsh called instantly.

Griffin Benger: {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Luke Marsh: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

Marsh took the lead on the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop, but it was Benger that had reason to celebrate as soon as the {4-Hearts} turn guaranteed the double up. A meaningless {6-Clubs} came on the river and Benger doubled to an average stack.

Samuel Tsehai Eliminated in 23rd Place ($150,600)

Nível 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Samuel Tsehai
Samuel Tsehai

Samuel Tsehai jammed on the button for 860,000. Louis Boutin needed a time bank in the big blind but opted to call for most of his own chips, showing {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. He was dominated by {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

The {q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop brought Boutin a straight draw and there was no waiting as a {j-Hearts} hit the turn. The {8-Clubs} gave Tsehai only an inferior straight, and he hit the rail in 23rd.

Tsehai Doubles Through Knoppers

Nível 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Over on the outer tables, Luigi Knoppers raised the button to 165,000 and Samuel Tsehai called in the big blind. The flop brought {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Tsehai moved all in for 230,000, Knoppers called.

Samuel Tsehai: {J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Luigi Knoppers: {J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

Tsehai was ahead with the kicker and that proved to be vital, as the {Q-Spades} turn and {6-Hearts} river ensured his double up.
