2018 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Germany

The second of four starting days of the 2018 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Germany €5,300 Main Event attracted a field of 94 entries including eight players that opted to fire the optional re-entry. Along with the 209 entries on Day 1a, this brings the total field after the first two flights at the King's Casino in Rozvadov up to 303 entries and the last two starting days on Thursday February 15th 2018 are expected to attract bigger fields.

After 12 levels of 40 minutes each, only 27 players bagged up with Germany's ggbn at the top of the overall counts as only player thus far to have advanced with more than 10 starting stacks. Especially towards the end of the day, ggbn continued to rake in pot after pot and sent Kfir Levy to the rail with ace-king versus ace-queen before eventually bagging up 10.27 million. Second-placed Andreas Walnum, a former WPT champion from Norway, was in the middle of the pack until the last hands of the night and scored a big double through Ludovic Geilich with trips kings to claim 8.14 million in chips to his name.

Other big stacks and notables that made it through on Day 1b include Lander Lijo (5.73 million), Manig Loeser (4.855 million), Ionut Voinea (4.295 million), Maciej Kondraszuk (3.15 million), Mike Leah (2.53 million), Adrian Mateos (2.385 million), Bertrand Grospellier (2.375 million), Ludovic Geilich (2.065 million), Anton Wigg (1.175 million) and Michael Sklenicka (910,000).

Several players represented the partypoker brand throughout the day but none of them made it through. Joao Simao, Renato Nomura, Johnny Lodden, Joni Jouhkimainen, Philipp Gruissem and Roberto Romanello were all ousted. In fact, Romanello clan was out in full force, but only Nicholas made it through to Day 2 so far with 2.765 million. Other notables that busted include Steve O'Dwyer, Ihar Soika, Aliaksei Boika, Vladimir Troyanovskiy, MILLIONS Nottingham champion Maria Lampropulos, Kenny Hallaert, Mustapha Kanit, Ole Schemion and €50,000 Super High Roller champion Chi Zhang.

Among the 303 entries on Day 1a and 1b combined, only 97 hopefuls have already booked their seat for Day 2. The action recommences tomorrow with Day 1c as of 12. p.m. noon local time and Day 1d as of 5 p.m. local time. In the hijack Ludovic Geilich raised to 135,000 and Andreas Walnum three-bet to 355,000 in the cutoff, Geilich called. On a flop of , both players checked and the appeared on the turn. Geilich now bet 685,000 and Walnum called.

On the river, Geilich slowed down and checked. Walnum moved all in and the shove was for 2.005 million. After spending some two minutes in the think tank, Geilich called and Walnum rolled over for trips kings. Geilich only had a bluff catcher with the and lost a big portion of his stack after he had previously been back up to more than 5.5 million.

The clock has been stopped with 11 minutes remaining and five more hands will be played. Only 30 players out of the 94 entries remain.

After losing the vast majority of his stack in the previous hand, Arne Ruge moved all in for just 205,000 from under the gun and Anton Johansson in the big blind called.

The flop saw Johansson joke "that's what I am talking about" after taking the lead. On the turn, the dealer said "I am sorry" to Ruge and the table cracked up with laughter, even Ruge himself had to smile. A blank on the river gave Johansson a full house and that was it for Ruge. Right after the hand, Johansson spoke with fellow Swede Anton Wigg in their native language and joked "finally I win an all in and it's for not even four big blinds"

Fresh off winning a big pot against Luca Marchetti with versus , Seyed Smit three-bet an open raise from ggbn to 375,000 and the action folded to Kfir Levy in the big blind. He moved all in and ggbn asked for a count. Once it was deemed to be 1.09 million in total, ggbn reraised to 2.2 million and Smit instantly folded.

The board came and the kicker played a crucial role to eliminate Levy, while ggbn's stack grew to more than 10 million.

Just after the blinds went up, Manig Loeser faced a raise by TELY in late position and three-bet to 325,000 out of the small blind. The Frenchman four-bet all in and Loeser called instantly.

Loeser had some sweat on the board of but ultimately dodged the flush draw to double for 2.565 million.

Two hands later, Loeser raised to 125,000 on the cutoff and Maciej Kondraszuk three-bet to 310,000 on the button. Michael Sklenicka four-bet for 1.13 million and left himself 50,000 behind. Loeser folded and Kodraszuk also let go.

Bertrand Grospellier called a raise on the button and TELY in the big blind also came along to see a flop of . Action checked to Grospellier and his bet was called by both opponents to create a pot of 1.2 million. On the turn, action once more checked to Grospellier and he now bet 850,000.

Only TELY called before moving all in for his last 770,000 on the river. Grospellier reluctantly called and was shown for a full house, while Grospellier only had for inferior flopped straight.
