Shashank Jain and the player on his left had been tangling all day.
So much so, that the player vowed to bust him, and was willing to put his money where his mouth is, betting $50 he would bust Jain in the next hour. Jain tried to ignore his rants, and didn't take the bet, before they got into it again.
Less than 15 minutes later, the two got heads up with Jain holding pocket kings. Jain flatted a flop bet when it came ![]()
![]()
with two diamonds, and check-raised the
offsuit turn. His opponent called, and when Jain checked a brick on the river, he shoved all in for 25,000.
Jain called, and when he turned over cowboys, his opponent showed ![]()
for the missed open-ender turned bluff. In the end, he got up, knocked over his chair, slammed $50 on the table, and walked out.
Jain, who refused to accept the money, telling the floor to give it to charity, simply stacked the chips and moved out to a huge early chip lead on well over 100,000.

Two time World Poker Tour and World Series of Poker bracelet winner Erick Lindgren has a familiar smile on his face today.
In fact, the fun banter over at his table has kept the soul in every seat smiling through the early levels. Things appear to be coming up all Lindgren right now as well.
"I've had the nuts a lot," he said, still stacking the chips from one pot won without showdown. "Really I've just been gambling, and it's working out."
Lindgren has also been on the right side of a few coolers already, and as he takes a spot near the top of the early leader board, the laughs continue.

WSOP bracelet winners Michael Wang and Jared Hamby just entered the tournament, as did Nick Maimone.
Hamby won his bracelet in 2013 for $525,272 in a $1,500 no-limit hold'em tournament defeating a field of 2,161 players. Back in 2007 Hamby came very close to winning a World Poker Tour title when he finished runner-up in the Mandalay Bay Poker to Shawn Buchanan for $459,080.
Wang won his bracelet last year for $466,120 after defeating Bryn Kenney heads up in the $5,000 no-limit hold'em, and back in 2014 he finished second in the HPO Championship at the M Resort for $216,904.
Lastly, Maimone's had his share of results already this year, as he won the PCA $25,000 High Roller for $996,480, and back in 2009 he finished 15th in the WSOP Main Event for $633,022.

Dan Smith, no, not that Dan Smith, but Dan Smith from parts unknown, Dan Smith who claims to be from Cuba, Dan Smith who says he started sucking back Miller Lite's very early this morning, that Dan Smith leads in the early going here at the Hollywood Poker Open Season 4 Championship Event.
Smith may or may not have qualified for the event at the Hollywood stop in Lawrenceburg, Indiana this year, near his suspected hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. Either way, he has run it up early and is in the Level 2 chip lead.
To get there, he either jammed with ![]()
and cracked kings, or a more believable scenario played out where he called with pocket queens, all in on the river of a four-flush board against pocket jacks, when neither player had it. It all really depends who you ask.
