Queens Hold for Gieles

Nível 5 : 600/1,200, 150 ante
Luuk Gieles
Luuk Gieles

Luuk Gieles, one of the founders of the Poker Ambition poker training & coaching program recently featured here on PokerNews, got into a preflop raising war with Zexin "DaNieL_Zhang" Zhang. By the time the dust had settled, Gieles noticed he was miles ahead with his {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades} against Zhang's {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for a pot worth 154k.

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Gieles held for a sizable double.

Koon Flops Set, Gets Paid

Nível 5 : 600/1,200, 150 ante
Koon with the set
Koon with the set

In the first few levels, we've seen a couple of lowly pairs set up to bust those unfortunate souls holding an overpair and Jason Koon became the latest beneficiary of such a setup. In a three-bet pot against Simone "spera91" Speranza, Koon flopped top set on a {6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} bord and check-raised a bet from Speranza from 6,468 to 14,736.

The turn brought the {j-Diamonds} and Koon fired a shell worth 16,181. Speranza went all in for 76,834 and Koon quickly called it off.

Simone "spera91" Speranza: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Jason Koon: {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

The river was the {a-Hearts} and Speranza headed to the virtual rail.
