Fifth Break

Nível 18 : 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante

The final 36 players are now on the tournament's fifth short break. Alex Foxen, Mikita Badziakouski, and Seth Davies all hit the rail just before the break to leave 34 remaining.

"ElkY" Out on a Bad Beat

Nível 18 : 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante

GGPoker Ambassador Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier was short on chips before Jargo Alavali eliminated him on a bad beat.

Grospellier jammed for 82,032 from the hijack with {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and was called by Alavali with {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs} from the big blind.

The {2-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} board gave Alavali trips and Grospellier was eliminated short of the money in 40th place. Stphen Chidwick and Darren Elias went to the rail soon after to leave 37 players remaining.

Bad Beat for Ladva

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 1,250 ante

Niklas Astedt opened for 20,000 from the cutoff and called a jam by Ottomar Ladva to 62,579 from the small blind.

Ottomas Ladva: {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Niklas Astedt: {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

Ladva was ahead but it didn't last as Astedt improved to a flush on the {4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} board. Adrian Mateos and Michael Watson followed Ladva to the virtual exit door shortly after Ladva lost his stack.

Quad Fours on the Board on the Turn?

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 1,250 ante

It's not every day you see quads on the board let alone after the first four cards, but that just happened in a hand between "QuantumKey" and Damian Salas.

Damian Salas opened to 20,000 from under the gun before he called a three-bet by "QuantumKey" from the big blind to 79,775.

Both players checked two streets as quads rolled out on the {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} board after the turn. The {7-Diamonds} completed the board on the river and Salas folded to a small bet of 15,000.

Elias Doubles Filatov

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 1,250 ante

Anatoly Filatov open-jammed for 106,184 from the cutoff and was called by Darren Elias from the big blind.

Anatoly Filatov: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Darren Elias: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Filatov won the race to stay alive and double after Elias failed to connect with the {j-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs} board.

Peters Takes Out Two to Catapult Into the Lead

Nível 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

David Yan opened to 17,600 from the cutoff. Urmo Velvelt jammed from the small blind for 86,000. David Peters then jammed for 558,500 and Yan called off for about 370K in total.

Urmo Velvelt: {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
David Yan: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
David Peters: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

The {2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} board gave Peters the best hand and he eliminated two opponents. Peters took the lead and was also the first player in this event north of 1 million in chips.
