Grzegorz Wyraz raised from early position and Antonio Martins Pedro defended his big blind. On the flop , the Portuguese check-called a bet of 2,400 and did so again on the turn for 5,000. The appeared on the river and the Portuguese checked for a third time while Wyraz made it 5,500 to go.
Martins now shoved for 28,300 and that proved to be too much for the Pole, he mucked to fall back to five digits.
The of the table neighbor were almost in the muck while the pot was shipped to Michael Eiler. The EPT7 Vienna champion had flopped top pair with and it was all over on a blank turn to see the German on the rise.
One table over, Harald "Harry" Casagrande shoved the river for 22,600 and Atik Miah from one seat over tanked for a bit. The Brit, now based in Germany, eventually called and then wanted to muck when Casagrande showed as winning hand. However, since it was an all in showdown, Miah had to reveal for top pair only and dropped almost half his stack.
Only two of the dozen seat open at the start of the new level were familiar names and included Stephan Niitzschle and Marek Bartoszewicz. With 130 players remaining according to the screens, one can expect around 100 at the end of level 10 when bagging and tagging takes place.
