The clock displays 1,107 entries in the Main Event, 15 players more than after we added Day 1a and 1b entries together. So before play started, 15 players signed up. Those players started out with 30,000 in chips like everyone else, almost 38 big blinds.

Manlio Lemina checked from the cut off before Stephen Chidwick bet out 9,500 from the button. Lemina thought abou his decision for a minute before making the call before the completed the board.
Another check prompted Chidwick to quickly move all in for his remaining 31,600 in chips. Lemina had 32,900 behind and deliberated over his decision for several minutes. He eventually mucked his hand as he relinquished the pot to Chidwick.
Action folded to Martin Staszko in the small blind and he completed out of his 30 big blind stack and Charles Carrel checked his option from the big blind.
The flop was and Staszko bet 1,000 getting a call from Carrel. On the turn card Staszko then check-called a bet of 1,300. The river saw the complete the board and Staszko again checked.
Carrel bet 7,000 and was given a puzzled look by Staszko. His attempt to get a read was somewhat hampered by the curtain of boy-band hair obscuring Carrel’s eyes but after a minute or so Staszko picked up the calling chips and defiantly put them over the line.
Joining the action on a flop of , EPT Vienna finalist Frei Dilling moved all in for more than 30,000 chips and was called by Luca Fiorini from one seat over. Dilling showed and the Italian was ahead with . The on the turn immediately provided the higher flush for Dilling and the Italian started talking in disbelief in his native language. Among the words we understood was "mama mia" several times and Fiorini was indeed covered.

Russia's Andrey Zaichenko is leading for Day 2 of a record-breaking €5,300 EPT Prague Main Event. Zaichenko topped yesterday's 750-strong field with 237,600 in chips, a stack that also beat Day 1a chip leader Russian player Dmitry Ponomarev who had 159,800.
A total of 399 players made it through Day 1b which, combined with Day 1a's 201 survivors, means at least 600 players will be here at noon for Day 2. The total number of players overall stands at 1,092 but players have until the start of Day 2 to buy in.
The plan for the day is to play six 75-minute levels, no dinner break. That means play will be done around 8:15 PM. The first level be 400/800 with an ante of 100, the last level to be played will be three times as big; 1,200/2,400 with an ante of 300.
