Ludovic Geilich opened the action from under the gun and got calls from small blind Paul Berende and Ihar Soika. The three of them had been talking about tangling in online games and now here was a chance to sort it out face to face over the felt.

Last year Greece's Sotirios Koutoupas took down EPT Deauville and we caught up with him one year later to talk about what that experience was like. Koutoupas also shared a story about how he combines running a business with playing poker, and how there were no plates smashed after he won this event one year ago.
In the previous level, Guillaume Darcourt received a nice gift after making a continuation bet on a 
flop and was called only by the player in the small blind whereas the other opponent folded. On the turn, Darcourt bet 3,300 and his opponent raised to 15,000 with 10,000 behind. Darcourt put him all in with for top pair and received a hero call by pocket tens to scoop the pot after a blank river.

Rob Strong told us about a big hand he played with Vladimir Troyanovskiy two to his right.
Troyanovskiy opened to 1,100 from the hijack in that hand (in the level before this one), and his neighbor in the cutoff made the call. Rob Strong on the button squeezed to 3,500 and just Troyanovskiy made the call, the cutoff folded.
Troyanovskiy check called a 4,400 bet on with two clubs, and check called another 8,600 on the
