Del Pino Picks Up Jacks to Bust Rodrigues; Pichierri Cracks Pavlov's Aces in Massive Pot

Michael Rodrigues moved all in for around 200,000 from the small blind and Omar Del Pino called in the cutoff.

Rodrigues was looking for an ace to overcome Del Pino's jacks but only found a board of 2♦8♠2♣7♠7♥ to send him to the rail.

The real fireworks, though, were taking place at the same time on another table as Alessandro Pichierri and Atanas Pavlov built a pot of more than 500,000 heading to the river.

Pichierri then moved all in on a board of Q♣K♠5♥9♦4♦ from the big blind and Pavlov spent several minutes staring across the table at him before committing his last 380,000 in early position.

Pichierri then showed him K♥K♣ for top set and Pavlov mucked his hand as he got up from his seat. The dealer retrieved A♥A♣ before pushing the massive pot over to Picchieri and his monkey.

Edward Yam moved all in from middle position for 150,000, and Iurii Kondrat followed suit in the next seat, moving his 125,000 stack across the line.

Action folded to Atanas Pavlov in the small blind, who also moved all in, covering both players and folding out the big blind.

Yam looked in good shape with his queens, although he was in the classic race versus ace-king, but the K♠3♠10♣ flop put Pavlov in front with a pair of kings.

The J♥ turn made things interesting as it gave Yam an up-and-down straight draw and meant he now did not want to hit his set, but the 4♠ river was a brick and Pavlov scooped a significant pot while his opponents said their goodbyes and made for the exit.

Palandiuk let out a loud groan when he saw he was dominated by Kebe's jacks. The board ran out 10♠7♣Q♦7♠8♠ and Palandiuk stopped to make sure Kebe had him covered before heading for the rail.

At another table, Sylvain Naets shoved for 240,000 in the small blind and Elvis Petcu called in the big blind.

"Could be worse," Naets said heading to the board, which came K♣7♣10♠6♦9♠. Petcu won the pot with his ace-high and Naets also went off to the payout desk.

Rubiralta Makes Big Call Under Clock Pressure

At least 350,000 was in the middle already in a hand between Andrea Scarrone on the button and Gerard Rubiralta in the big blind on a board of 8♦A♠9♠Q♣9♣.

Rubiralta checked to Scarrone, who took some time to ponder the spot before sliding out a bet of 160,000.

Rubiralta went deep into the tank, at various points asking his opponent if he would show if he folded, or even just one card. Scarrone remained silent in the face of all table talk.

After a reasonable but not excessive period of time, Sergii Baranov called the clock. The tournament director came over but the dealer did not think Rubiralta had been given sufficient time for his decision on the river and the rest of the table agreed. Baranov got up from the table muttering about hands taking fifteen minutes. The clock was not started just yet.

All of a sudden, after a fold appeared the most likely outcome, Rubiralta made the call.

Scarrone turned over 10♠5♠ for air and Rubiralta had A♥3♠ for a weak pair of aces, allowing him to scoop a monster pot and move over the one million mark.

Scarrone was effusive in his praise for his opponent's play, stating on numerous occasions "great call" and "well played".

Vayssieres Gets Rivered by Pavlov, Gets It Right Back the Next Hand

With around 150,000 in the middle on a board of 5♦3♠8♠K♥, Atanas Pavlov bet 116,000 from under the gun and Nicolas Vayssieres called in the big blind.

Both players checked the 10♠ river and Vayssieres showed the 5♠. "Let me see the other one," Pavlov said as Vayssieres revealed the A♦. Pavlov turned over A♥10♥ for a rivered pair of tens to win the pot.

The next hand, Nate Silver moved all in for 150,000 in middle position and Vayssieres called in the small blind. Pavlov then reshoved and Vayssieres snap-called for around 350,000.

Vayssieres had woken up with aces and held on through the Q♦5♦6♠8♥2♥ board to double up off Pavlov and send Silver to the rail.
