Players in the FPS Main Event are heading for their first 20-minute break of the day.
Andrej Desset just lost a bigger pot when he check-folded the K♥Q♠2♣ flop to a bet worth 4,000 by table neighbour Nemo Israel. He opened to 700 next and Andreas Putz defended the big blind only to snap-fold the Q♦Q♣2♦ flop when Desset had barely put his continuation bet in.
Desset raised to 700 once more in the very next hand. Israel called before Pim Gieles three-bet to 3,000 in the next seat. Only Israel called and check-called for 2,800 on the J♦9♥4♦ flop. Gieles bet another 7,000 when checked to by Israel on the 3♥ turn to pick up a call and then faced the shove by Israel on the 6♦ river.
Gieles had 15,200 behind and called all-in to get shown the K♥Q♥ for a busted straight and flush draw, which he had beat with the Q♦Q♠ to score the double.

Benjamin Gros raised to 800 from under the gun, Rudy Chimkievitch called, Guillaume Roullet called in late position, and both the small and big blind also came along.
Five players went to the flop, which came Q♣7♥4♦. Action checked to Roullet, who made it 2,200 to go. Only Chimkievitch made the call.
The turn was the A♠ and both players checked. The river came the 10♥. Chimkievitch bet out for 5,000 and Roullet folded to give him the pot.

Picking up the action on the J♥9♣7♣7♠ turn, Fouad Rabahie bet 3,800 from under the gun and Hussen Mohallim called on the button. That led to the A♥ river on which Rabahie bet another 3,500. Mohallim then raised to 16,500 and Rabahie called. It would win the pot uncontested as Mohallim simply sent his cards into the muck.

Roope Tarmi was all-in for fumes with the 3♠2♥ and Björn Bruns looked him up with the K♥J♦. The board came 3♣2♦5♦4♥4♠ and Tarmi jumped to 1,000 chips.
Arnaud Morel then raised and Tarmi moved all-in, Mohamed Mennane and Morel called. On the 9♠5♣5♠ flop, Menanne check-called for 1,000 and they checked the 4♥ turn. Mennane then bed the K♠ river for 1,000 and Morel folded.
The Q♦8♦ of Tarmi were no good, as Mennane had the Q♠Q♣. Tarmi then became one of the first few players on Day 1a to re-enter shortly after.
