Table Stunned as Kanit Doubles Up
In a single raised pot to the 8♥4♣5♠ flop, Mustapha Kanit, in the big blind check-raised to 55,000 over a bet of 22,000. His opponent, Igaal Hanouna, called from middle position.
Kanit continued to apply pressure, firing out 67,000 on the 6♠ turn. With four to a straight on the board, Hanouna called once more.
The 8♣ river paired and completed the board. Kanit emptied the clip, shoving for 206,000. Hanouna asked for a count and wasted little time in calling.
Kanit thought he was heading to the rail, as he could only table 9♥6♥ for eights and sixes. Hanouna, to the tables surprise, could not beat that as he had put on his cape and hero called with A♥Q♣.
There was some laughter from the other players at the table, with one player adding, "You didn't expect that."
"So sick," commented Rafael Moraes.
"Sick value bet," then joked Kanit.
