The flop was a safe one for Sanchez as it came 8♠2♠2♣. The 6♠ turn gave Sanchez a full house and Rezaei was drawing dead. The Q♦ river had Rezaei out of his seat, making his way to the payout desk.
Luca Marki raised to 60,000 from the cutoff and Daniel Rezaei defended in the big blind.
Both players checked to the river as the full board now read 9♠8♥J♦K♥10♦. Rezaei checked again and Marki bet out for a sizeable 155,000.
Rezaei thought about his decision for some time before making the call for a large proportion of his stack. Marki tabled A♦Q♠ for the nut straight, prompting Rezai to muck his cards, leaving him short.
