Nível 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Jon Kyte
Jon Kyte

Jon Kyte raised to 60,000 in early position and Serge Chechin called in the cutoff.

The flop came 555 and Kyte bet 65,000. Chechin called to the 10 turn as Kyte slowed down and checked.

Chechin then bet 150,000 and Kyte raised to 420,000. Chechin used up two time banks before calling to see the 6 river.

"How much," he said to Kyte as he began tapping the felt.

"One point two million," Kyte answered, sliding in a massive tower of chips. Chechin instantly folded.

"If you didn't say that I was going to bet 800. I was sure you were calling," Kyte said.

Chechin Leads the River on Rodin

Nível 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Grigorii Rodin raised to 60,000 under the gun and Serge Chechin and Cesar Garcia came along in the blinds.

The flop came 349 and Rodin bet 75,000, with only Chechin calling to the 6 turn.

Rodin then bet 285,000 and Chechin again called. The river was the 7 and Chechin slammed in a tower of chips for a bet totalling 450,000.

Rodin burned through four time banks as Chechin began talking to him in French.

"No French at the table," Jon Kyte said. Rodin eventually folded and Chechin took the pot.

"Two pair," Kyte said to Chechin. "You're jacks are no good," he added toward Rodin.

After the hand, a tournament official came over to warn Chechin about speaking English-only while in a hand.

Jakovljevic Leads Into Zhao

Nível 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Cheng Zhao raised to 60,000 from the hijack and Dejan Jakovljevic defended his big blind. Zhao then continuation-bet for 60,000 on the 459 flop and Jakovljevic check-called.

The turn came the 4 and saw Jakovljevic lead out for 70,000. Zhao was undeterred, however, and stuck around with a call.

On the A river, both players checked in quick succession. Jakovljevic showed 76 for a missed draw, while Zhao tabled the winner with his A5.
