Julian Selinger was in middle position and got his entire stack of around 115,000 in the middle against Ramon Colillas in the hijack.
Julian Selinger: A♠K♣
Ramon Colillas: A♣A♥
Selinger had run right into Colillas' aces as the board ran out 7♦9♦7♣9♣4♠, giving the pot to the PokerStars Team Pro and sending Selinger off to the exit.
Day 1b chip leader Daniel Koloszar open-shoved for 54,000 from the hijack, then Hussein Abud took his time before raising to 100,000 from the button. The blinds folded, and cards went on their backs.
Daniel Koloszar: A♥10♠
Hussein Abud: 6♥5♥
Koloszar hit top pair on the 4♥6♣10♥ flop, but Abud also found a pair and a flush draw. The 2♣ didn't change anything, but the 3♥ on the river completed Abud's flush, leading to Koloszar's elimination.
Omar Eljach eliminated Jacob Amsellem right before the break to climb above 1,000,000, exacting a bit of revenge after Amsellem had eliminated him from the WSOP Europe Main Event last month.
Shortly after coming back from break, Vincent Meli raised to 12,000 in early position and Abdelhakim Zoufri called in the small blind. Eljach then moved all in and Meli folded, but Zoufri called for 70,000.
Abdelhakim Zoufri: 9♣9♠
Omar Eljach: K♣7♣
The board ran out J♥3♦2♥3♥10♣ and Zoufri's nines stayed in the lead to earn him a double up.
"He has a lot of chips. He can do anything," a tablemate said.
"It's nothing personal. This one was personal," Eljach said, pointing at Amsellem's empty seat.
Aram Sargsyan was all in for 110,000 from middle position and up against Max Neugebauer in the big blind.
Aram Sargsyan: A♦Q♣
Max Neugebauer: K♣K♦
Sargsyan was looking for an ace to stay alive, but none arrived on the 8♥7♣3♠3♦9♥ board as Neugebauer's kings stayed in front. Sargsyan departed the table so quickly he forgot his bag on the back of his seat and a tournament official had to track him down before he left the room.
Shortly after Matija Kajtez's double up on this table, Jiri Kocab and Dimitar Danchev tangled in another all-in pot.
There was around 80,000 in the pot on a flop of 4♠2♣7♦ when Danchev got the rest of his 100,000 in the middle from the big blind and Kocab had him at risk in middle position.
Dimitar Danchev: A♠K♠
Jiri Kocab: 8♣8♠
Danchev needed to improve against Kocab's pair of eights, but he missed the Q♦ turn and 5♠ river as the EPT champion was sent to the rail.
A pot of more than 100,000 was already in the middle as Tamas Adamszki and Enzo Vito went to the turn on a board of 10♥5♦3♥Q♠.
Adamszki then bet 80,000 from middle position and Vito called in early position. The river was the 6♦ and Adamszki moved all in for 87,000.
Vito quickly called and Adamszki turned over A♣A♦. "Yep, that wins," Vito said, showing the Q♦ before the dealer exposed his other card, the J♦, and gathering them into the muck.
