Niklas Astedt limped in from the small blind and Pablo Brito Silva checked his option from the big blind.
On the 7♥6♠4♦ flop, Astedt check-called for 4,000 and did the same for 17,000 on the Q♦ turn. Astedt, with around 37,000 behind, checked for a third time after the 9♦ river completed the board. Silva put out 125,000, leaving Astedt to make a decision for his tournament life. After some time in the tank, Astedt slid his stack into the middle.
Silva tabled his 8♦5♠ for a nine-high straight while Astedt put on his cape and revealed A♦8♠.
As Astedt left the table, Teun Mulder collected a double-up from Yulian Bogdanov.
With around 44,000 in the pot on the 8♠8♥2♣4♣4♦ board, Bogdanov checked from the cutoff before Mulder jammed for 42,500 from the button. Bogdanov thought it over for several moments. If he called and were incorrect, he would only have around 12,000 left in his stack. In the end, he put in the chips, and the cards went on their backs.

Bogdanov, like Astedt, had called with ace-high. And like his Swedish counterpart, he ran into a big hand as Mulder had a full house, with his deuces full of eights.

Aliaksandr Shylko opened to 4,000 from the button and Elias Abussamra defended his big blind.
The 7♦7♣5♠ flop checked through to the 3♥ turn, where Abussamra led out for 10,500. Shylko called.
Abussamra then checked when the board became double-paired on the 5♥ river. Shylko bet 6,000 and Abussamra gave it some thought for a while before flicking in a call.
Shylko tabled A♠K♥ for sevens and fives, with an ace kicker. Abussamra couldn't beat that and mucked.

Pablo Brito Silva opened to 4,500 from the cutoff and Steve O'Dwyer called from the button. Tsugunari Toma three-bet to 20,000 from the small blind and folded out Silva. O'Dwyer then moved all in for 60,000.
"It must be really bad," said O'Dwyer as he faded the snap-call.
Toma asked for a count but ended up folding.
"It was that bad," added O'Dwyer.

Astedt check-called for 6,000 and 20,000 on the flop and turn, leaving him with around 38,000 behind.
On the A♣K♥9♣A♥4♦ board, Astedt checked for a third time, prompting Silva to put his opponent all-in. Astedt thought it over briefly before he returned his cards to the dealer.

Action checked through to the river for the final board to read A♣8♣2♣5♣Q♠. Daubaris bet 3,000 and was called. The chip leader tabled 7♣5♠ for a flush, and his opponent mucked.
The following hand, Aliaksandr Shylko opened to 4,500 from the cutoff and called when Daubaris three-bet to 12,000 from the button.
Shylko check-called for 15,000 and 30,000 on the flop and turn for the board to show the 5♦7♥2♦3♦3♥. The river then checked through to showdown.
Shylko tabled 6♣6♥ but was bested by Daubaris' K♥K♠.

On the J♠J♣7♣ flop, Dickerson check-raised to 7,000 after Bogdanov continued for 2,000. The latter called.
Dickerson then opted to check-call for 15,000 on the 10♣ turn, bringing in the 2♠ river. Dickerson checked again and Bogdanov sized up to 38,000. Dickerson put all five of his time banks out in front of him as he pondered his options. Three time banks later, Dickerson folded his hand.
As the hand finished, Teun Mulder joined the table to make it 16 entries.
