It came A♦4♥4♣, and the action was checked to Schaeven who made it 30,000. The big blind folded before Wiecek called.

The Pole checked called on the 8♦ turn as Schaeven bet out for 55,000.

However, it was a different story on the river. A 7♠ landed and Wiecek chose to lead for 90,000. The German pondered a fold, but ultimately called and mucked his hand as Wiecek tabled A♣J♦.

Szychulski sized up for a 155,000 bet after the 5♥ completed the board and Tian verified the count before sliding in a raise to 425,000.

Szychulski quickly folded and Tian, who entered Day 2 as the chip leader, collected the nice pot.

Chierchia was left with fumes.
