PokerStars Announces Full Five Stop 2024 EPT Schedule; Paris and Cyprus Return

PokerStars has unveiled the full schedule for the 2024 European Poker Tour (EPT) season, which shows five destinations, including a return to EPT Paris and EPT Cyprus. Both Paris and Cyprus made their EPT debut in 2023, and they return for 2024, much to the delight of the players.

EPT Paris is the first stop of the 2024 European Poker Tour season. It takes place between February 14-25 at a new venue. The stunning Le Palais des Congres has a 120-table capacity, meaning there will be a more extensive schedule for the festival. Cedric Billot, Associate Director for Live Events and Operations, believes the new-look EPT Paris could be one of the largest EPT festivals on record.

On a flop of A♦5♣9♣, Aleksander Kamendoliev continued from under the gun for 3,000 and was called by David Torgeman in middle position.

Both players checked the 4♣ turn.

On the Q♠ river Kamendoliev slid out a bet of 10,500 and Torgeman quickly called. Kamendoliev showed J♠10♠ for jack-high, with Torgeman holding A♠5♠ for two pair.

Manoe Betrix opened 2,500 under the gun and only Fintan Hand came along in the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of 10♥7♥3♠ and Hand check-called a bet of 2,000.

When the 5♥ fell on the turn, Hand took the lead, dropping 2,000 across the line. Betrix raised to 8,500 and Hand wasted little time making the call.

The 9♦ fell on the river and Hand led once again, this time for only 1,200. Betrix thought about it for about 30 seconds before letting it go.

Baroudi's Min-Raise Spells His Demise

Emile Baroudi and Miguel Abad were battling heads up over a 6,800-chip pot. Baroudi checked from the big blind on the 7♥9♠6♣A♣ board before Abad made a bet of 3,000.

Baroudi clicked it back to 6,000 and Abad called. The 7♣ river then completed the board and Baroudi bet another 6,000.

It was Abad's turn to raise as he put in 24,000, just enough to cover his opponent's stack. A snap-call followed and Abad showed Baroudi K♣4♣ for a rivered flush.

Baroudi showed his 10♦8♦ in frustration, showing that his flopped straight got cracked. After the stacks were counted, he left the tournament area while Abad virtually doubled up.

The K♦ completed the board and both players checked. Binek turned over K♠10♥ for the nuts and Spragg mucked.
