Messalas Smells a Bluff

Alexios Messalas opened the action with a raise preflop from middle position before calling a three-bet from Marcin Kacprzak in the hijack.
The pair then saw the 2♦2♠9♣ flop appear, on which Messalas check-called a 3,500 continuation-bet of Kacprzak. The 6♣ turn saw Kacprzak up the ante to 6,500, and Messalas once again check-called.
Messalas checked for a third time on the J♦ river and Kacprzak went for it all when he jammed for 15,800 chips. Messalas had the covering stack and went deep into the tank.
After several minutes, he exclaimed: "I know it's a bluff, but I don't know which one". After some more thinking time, he made the fold, however, surrendering the pot to his opponent.
