With both players holding near even stack sizes, it would be a crucial showdown on the outer tables and Astedt had the best of it. That, however, changed on the flop as Spekman improved to jacks full.
Now it was Astedt with just two outs, which he missed on the turn and river. Both stacks were counted as Spekman doubled for 2,600,000, leaving Astedt on just over two blinds.
