Shahade Still in the Mix; Gonzalez Busts Roussey With a Gutsy Call

Yannick David raised to 2,100, but Jen Shadade made it 45,000 to go from the big blind and that changed the situation for the raiser. David looked at his stack and gave it thought, but ultimately it was too much and he tossed it in the muck. Shahade is now above double the starting stack and Day 1a enters its late stages.

Meanwhile, action was heads up with a big pot in the middle and on the board while Omar Gonzalez contemplated Quinten Roussey's 55,000 shove from the button. Gonzalez went deep into the tank for several minutes before he finally emerged with a stack of chips to call. Roussey turned over for the busted straight draw and Gonzalez turned over to take the pot and eliminate Roussey with kings and tens.
