Wheeler and Grieco Get Into It

Jason Wheeler opened to 35,000 in early position and Nicola Grieco defended out of the big blind.

Grieco checked dark on the K36 flop and Wheeler continued for 40,000. Grieco called. Grieco checked again on the 10 turn and Wheeler checked back.

Grieco led out for a small 25,000 on the 9 river and Wheeler raised to 140,000. Grieco called. Wheeler showed just ace-high with AJ and Grieco happily slammed down 93 to take the pot with two pair and began celebrating loudly in Italian.

"Brick river, you go bye-bye," Wheeler said in a fake Italian accent. "Two pair and you're going to talk shit? I'll bust you like I did last year."

"We are even now," said Grieco.

"Except that was a 1.1 million-chip pot," replied Wheeler. "I spanked you like a puppy."

Ladev Catches Up on the River

Markkos Ladev raised to 30,000 in middle position with JJ and Ramon Colillas three-bet to 115,000 in the small blind with KQ. Ladev called and they went heads-up to a flop of Q98.

Colillas checked to Ladev who tossed in a bet of 55,000 and Colillas just called. The turn was the 5 and Colillas checked again. Ladev fired another barrel of 110,000 and Colillas still called.

The J rolled off on the river and Colillas checked once more. Ladev checked it back and raked in the pot after hitting a set of jacks on the river.

Gomez Doubles With Big Slick

Action was heads up with over 100,000 in the middle and 887 on the flop when Javier Gomez got his last 175,000 in from the small blind. Maduka Meragal was there in the big blind to put him at risk and the cards were turned up for a runout.

Elias Fisz opened to 30,000 in middle position with KQ and was called by Arunas Sapitavicius in the cutoff with 22 and Markkos Ladev in the big blind with J10. The flop came KK4 and Fisz continued with a bet of 25,000. Sapitavicius called and Ladev got out of the way.

The turn was the K to improve Fisz to quads and he checked this time. Sapitavicius fired out a bet of 55,000 and Fisz just called. The river was the 7 and Fisz checked once more. Sapitavicius checked it back and Fisz claimed the pot.

Only One PSPC Champion Remains

2023 PSPC champion Aliaksandr Shylko started the day with 500,000 chips but couldn't run it up further as he was eliminated in 36th place for €19,850.

Vasylchenko Folds Out Delgado

Vicente Delgado raised on the button and Jimmy Torres Velasquez and Oleg Vasylchenko defended out of the blinds.

The flop of KAK checked through and Velasquez checked on the 6 turn before Vasylchenko fired a bet of 40,000. Delgado called and Velasquez folded.

The 4 river completed the board and Vasylchenko sized up to 180,000. Delgado let his shot clock wind down and then folded.
