David Vinayagamoorthy opened to 16,000 from under the gun and was called by Jimmy Torres Velasquez and Salvatore Camarda from the cutoff and button, respectively. Pieter Aerts and Manuel Valduga called from the blinds as well.
Five ways to the K♠8♥2♣ flop, Vinayagamoorthy continued for 23,000 and only Valduga called. Valduga then check-called bets of 11,000 and 21,000 on the 8♦ turn and 2♦ river.
Vinayagamoorthy had a pair of kings with his K♦Q♣ and Valduga mucked.
Marcello Miniucchi opened to 16,000 from middle position and both Artur Martirosian next to act and Candido Cappiello in the big blind made the call.
The flop fanned out A♥10♦9♠ and Cappiello checked to Miniucchi who continued for 28,000, which only Martirosian called.
On the 2♣ turn Miniucchi used his remaining time bank chip, and after the floor was called over, was ruled he could only check. Martirosian fired out 40,000 and Miniucchi went in the tank. After his 30-seconds was up the dealer declared Miniucchi's hand dead and the pot was sent to Martirosian.
Oleg Vasylchenko opened to 18,000 from early positon, and Magnus Carlsen called from the hijack. Mike Watson then three-bet to 72,000 from the cutoff, prompting Vasylchenko to make it 180,000. Carlsen folded, but Watson stuck around.
Vasylchenko continued for 90,000 on the J♦10♣2♥ flop and was called. He then check-called for 145,000 on the 6♦ turn. The 3♦ completed the board, and Vasylchenko once again took the betting lead by firing out 50,000. As the shot clock nearly hit zero, Watson raised to 401,000, leaving just 1,000 behind. Vasylchenko used up a time bank, which was the first one for the pot, and folded.
On the following hand, Leo Worthington-Leese opened to 16,000 from early position before Magnus Carlsen reraised to 46,000 on his direct left. Watson, now in the hijack, four-bet to 92,000 and both of his opponents folded.
Kelvin Kerber opened to 16,000 from the cutoff and was called by Vanessa Kade in the cutoff, Harry Lodge in the small blind and Martin Guerrero in the big blind.
The flop of 3♣8♦8♣ checked through and the same action took place on the 7♠ turn. Lodge and Kerber checked again on the K♣ river and Kerber took a stab with a bet of 14,000. Kade called and Guerrero check-raised out of turn to 50,000 before Lodge folded.
Kerber folded and Kade called, only to muck when Guerrero showed 9♣7♥ for a pair of sevens.
In a heads-up pot with roughly 60,000 in the middle on a board showing 2♠2♥6♥A♣, Orpen Kisacikoglu checked from under the gun to Sonny Franco in middle position who checked back.
The 9♦ hit the river and Kisacikoglu checked again. Franco took a moment before moving all in for 174,000 and Kisacikoglu went into the tank.
After close to 30 seconds of deliberation, Kisacikoglu folded and the pot was sent to Franco.
"Show the nine," joked Kisacikoglu as Franco passed his cards to the dealer and collected the pot.
There was around 500,000 in the pot on the A♦9♥5♦2♣7♠ completed board, which saw Harry Lodge check from early position. After using up two time chips, Artur Martirosian moved all in for 332,000.
Lodge asked the dealer for a count as he pondered his options, and decided to fold
