Eight on the River Leads to Pires Double
Nível 7
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Raphael Pires was all in from under the gun against Jimmy Gomes in the big blind, who had him covered.
Raphael Pires: A♣8♥
Jimmy Gomes: J♣J♥
The flop landed 10♠8♠6♥ to pair Pires' eight while still keeping Gomes ahead with jacks, but the board then finished out 2♦8♦ and an eight on the river secured the double up for Pires.
