Julien Sitbon moved all in for 76,000 from the cutoff as action folded to Maduka Meragal in the big blind who snap-called.
Julien Sitbon: Q♣J♦
Maduka Meragal: A♥A♠
Sitbon had run right into Meragal's aces and found no help on the 3♥2♠3♦ flop. He was already getting up from his seat preparing to make his exit as the dealer completed the board with 8♦3♠, confirming his bustout.
Yassin Mahmoud opened to 33,000 on the button and Jose Jimenez three-bet to 100,000 in the small blind. Mahmoud cracked his knuckles and stretched his arms back as he stared at the ceiling. He grabbed a water and took a drink as he stared some more.
"Is it on me? All in. All in," he said after using three time banks as Jimenez called.
Yassin Mahmoud: Q♦Q♥
Jose Jimenez: 9♠9♣
Mahmoud was in great shape to double and did so as the board ran out 10♥3♣A♦8♠10♣ to keep his queens ahead.
"I really didn't know," Mahmoud said as others at the table laughed.
Oleg Ustinovich moved all in for 115,000 from middle position and Gerard Carbo took his second shot at eliminating a player this level, calling in the hijack. The rest of the table got out of the way.
Oleg Ustinovich: K♥Q♣
Gerard Carbo: 7♣7♥
The flop came 3♠K♣K♠ and Ustinovich made trips to take a big lead in the hand. The rest of the board came 6♣A♥ and Ustinovich doubled up.
At the same time on another table, Raoul Refos raised to 20,000 and David Kaufmann called before Mario Trattou shoved for 131,000 in the cutoff. Refos folded, but Kaufmann called to put Trattou at risk.
Mario Trattou: A♠Q♥
David Kaufmann: 10♥10♠
Like Ustinovich, Trattou was flipping for his tournament life and also hit trips on the Q♠Q♦4♦ flop. The board ran out 9♣9♥ and he finished with a full house.
"Thank you for wishing me good luck," he told Kaufmann. "And thank you dealer," he added.
Paul Newey has been riding a short stack for the majority of the day and just picked a spot to get his last chips in, shoving for 96,000 in the cutoff. Gerard Carbo called in the small blind to put him at risk.
Paul Newey: 10♣10♥
Gerard Carbo: 4♠4♥
Newey had Carbo dominated and took a firm grip on the hand as the flop came J♥10♦6♦, giving him a set. The board ran out A♣Q♣ and Newey ensured he would stick around a little longer.
Milos Skrbic opened the cutoff to 16,000 and got called in one spot by Ivan Deyra in the big blind.
The 6♦Q♥7♠ flop hit the felt and action checked to Skrbic who continued for 13,000. Deyra called and the 5♣ rolled off on the turn.
Action was checked over to Skrbic again who opted to go for another bet. 46,000 was the sizing he chose and it got the job done as Deyra put his cards in the muck.
Nicolas Chouity and Nikolaos Iliakis were heads-up on a flop of 3♥5♣3♦ when Iliakis moved all in for his last 250,000.
Chouity let out a loud groan and burned through several time banks as he considered the decision. "If you have it, you have it," he eventually said, calling to put Iliakis at risk.
Nikolaos Iliakis: A♦K♥
Nicolas Chouity: 9♣9♥
The board ran out J♣2♦ and Chouity's nines stayed in the lead to earn him the pot and send Iliakis to the rail.
Yassin Mahmoud was in the small blind in a heads-up pot against Yannick Schumacher in the big blind on a board of J♣4♠2♣3♠.
Mahmoud checked on the turn and Schumacher bet 90,000. Mahmoud called. Mahmoud checked again on the K♦ river and Schumacher quickly bet 300,000 to put Mahmoud all in. Mahmoud laid it down just as quickly.
