Oleg Ustinovich raised to 100,000 in the cutoff before Roman Gadzhiev pushed all in for 415,000 on the button. Ustinovich tossed in the chips to call.
Roman Gadzhiev: A♦A♠
Oleg Ustinovich: J♣9♦
The flop came Q♦J♦3♥ and Ustinovich picked up a pair to give him some outs to crack Gadzhiev's aces. However, none arrived on the 8♠ turn and 3♣ river and Gadzhiev doubled up.
Tom Vogelsang raised to 100,000 in the cutoff and Ian Hamilton defended his big blind.
The flop came 10♦9♥4♣ and Vogelsang continued for 75,000. Hamilton called and the 4♠ fell on the turn.
Vogelsang then bet another 225,000 and Hamilton again called. The river came the 8♦ and Hamilton checked over to Vogelsang.
Vogelsang then collected nearly his entire stack and slid it forward, a bet of 650,000 as he left just 50,000 behind. Hamilton tanked for more than a minute before tossing in a chip to signify a call.
Vogelsang turned over A♦A♥ and Hamilton mucked as he paid him off.
Rene Hochmuth moved all in for 670,000 from the big blind and Ankit Ahuja called in the cutoff.
Rene Hochmuth: A♣5♦
Ankit Ahuja: A♥K♣
Hochmuth was dominated but picked up a straight draw on the 9♥4♦2♣ flop. He didn't improve on the J♣ turn, while the 7♠ river sealed his elimination as Ahuja took the pot.
Michele Guerrini was also eliminated at this table a few hands earlier.
Dauren Zhaparov and Aksel Aygun had just tangled in a pot where Zhaparov raised the river and Aygun called before the two chopped the pot with the same straight.
An orbit or so later, it was Aygun who raised the river as Zhaparov bet 100,000 on the 3♥4♦Q♣9♥8♥ board and Aygun raised to around 500,000. Zhaparov went in the tank and the clock was called before he eventually tossed in a call.
Aygun tabled A♥K♥ for the nut flush and Zhaparov mucked in defeat.
Adam Rayhaan raised to 125,000 on the button and Andrei Vavilonskii called in the big blind.
The flop came K♣9♠8♦ and Rayhaan continued for 125,000. Vavilonskii called to the 8♥ turn, where Rayhaan bet another 100,000.
Vavilonskii then raised to 275,000 and Rayhaan called. The river came the A♦ and Vavilonskii led out for 150,000.
Rayhaan spent a few minutes in the tank before emerging with a raise to 500,000. Vavilonskii gave it some thought before calling as Rayhaan turned over 9♥8♠ for a full house to win the pot.
While this hand was in progress, Eduard Norel and Ankit Ahuja were building a pot of around 2,000,000 on a completed board of 5♥6♠Q♥10♠7♥.
Norel then slid forward a bet of 1,550,000 and Ahuja went deep into the tank. "Sorry guys. I'm very close," Ahuja said as more than five minutes came off the clock.
"Take as much time as you want," tablemate Michele Guerrini told him. Ahuja eventually tossed his cards away and Norel took down the big pot without a showdown.
Azizjon Rakhimov raised to 80,000 under the gun and Mihaita Croitoru called on the button before Andrei Teodorescu moved all in for 645,000 in the big blind.
Rakhimov tanked for a minute before mucking, but Croitoru called to put Teodorescu at risk.
Andrei Teodorescu: A♦A♥
Mihaita Croitoru: 9♦9♠
Teodorescu wasn't at much risk after all as he turned over aces. The board ran out 6♣4♣6♠7♦K♠ and he doubled up, snapping a picture of the board before collecting his newfound wealth.
